“I’ll leave tomorrow,” I said before I thanked him and hung up.

“What are you doing? We still don’t know where Konstantin is or who was behind the break-in.” Leo said and I sighed.

“I know. But if I stay missing for too long, those who were still willing to follow me will jump ship and I will have a hard time winning them back over.” I glanced at Alexsei who nodded.

“It isn’t safe,” Riley said softly and I looked at him, shrugging.

“My life has never been safe, Riley. I was gone for long enough. Besides, coming back now is like a grand entrance after the rumors have said I was taken. It will keep them guessing.” I smiled, instantly feeling relieved to be going back to the world I knew and understood.

“I can’t be seen with you. If I am to keep myself undercover, I will need to leave now.” Alexsei said and I nodded.

“Why do you have to be undercover at all?” Riley asked with a frown and Alexsei smiled indulgently.

“Because I am better use to Katerina when I can gather information from her enemies. Plus, I am still working on the White Fox case which is linked to her parent's death. I cannot jeopardize that so close to the finish line.” He said and Riley turned to me with that intense stare.

“Are you sure that you are ready to go back?” He asked and I nodded.

“Yes. I have been getting cabin fever sitting around doing nothing anyway. As great as it has been to connect with all of you, I can't run from my life. It will eventually catch up to me and I would rather be the one in control.” I said, knowing it was the truth.

I may still have some reservations about Konstantin and whoever broke into my place, but the best way to confront this now was head on and with Victor now secured, I would get the final information that I needed.

“What do you need from us?” He asked, surprising me.

“I expected more of a fight from you,” I admitted and Riley smirked as he looked at Hamish and Leo, both who seemed a little more annoyed about this than he was.

“I told you I didn’t want to change that part of your life. You are who you are, I may ask for your surrender behind closed doors, but I follow you everywhere else.” He said with a smile and my heart pounded in my chest.

He leaned forward to brush a kiss over my lips.

“It’s give and take, Kitten. You give me your surrender and obedience in the bedroom and our private life, and I give you everything I am in return, including never questioning your decisions in business.” He whispered.

If I wasn’t already in love with this man, those words would have pushed me over the edge.

I kissed him with passion, hoping I was conveying just how much I loved him with the kiss.

“If you plan on leaving tomorrow, I will get a head start now. I will communicate through Mikhail.” Alexsei said as he stood and looked down at me with an awkwardness I had never seen in him before.

“Come here,” I whispered as I stood too, wrapping my arms around his neck and kissing him.

He pulled away, pressing a kiss to my neck, and then cupped my face gently.

“In the days to come, I will need to be your enemy again. But just remember,Pchelka, in here,” He pressed my hand to his heart “I am the man who worships you.” He said before he kissed me softly and then smiled wickedly.

“And you are mine.” He whispered before he let me go and walked away.

I watched him go, not sure how I felt about being separated after finally getting to this point together.

I looked at the others and realized they would have to make a decision too.

“When we go back, you will have to decide if you want to be seen with me. Being seen in public with me will put your lives in danger and I understand if you don’t want that.” I said grimly.

“I have already been seen with you as your bodyguard. This doesn’t change things for me.” Leo said with a shrug.

“You think I am afraid of a little danger? Love, I am the legacy of an MC President. Danger is all I have known.” Hamish said with a cocky grin, and I rolled my eyes.

I turned to Riley, expecting to see his regret but all I saw was determination.

“Did you think that after years of pining for you and finally having you, I would throw that all away because of a little danger? I’m yours Kit-Kat and I will show the world that I am.” He said with so much conviction that chills went down my spine.
