“That’s a wonderful idea,” I said, not taking my eyes off Hales.
Whitney huffed. “I’ll see you for the party dance.” She said in her screechy voice before stomping away.
“She seems like a peach,” Hales laughed, straightening my tie.
Sitting my drink down, I wrapped my other arm around her back, trapping her hands between us as I embraced her. My chin rested on the top of her head. “Thank you. She’s been driving me insane all day.”
“Of course. Isn’t that why you invited me? To keep the hussies at bay.” She giggled, arching her back, so that she could look at me. Her palms rubbed against my chest.
“I mean. It’s a nice bonus, but I actually couldn’t see myself here with anyone else,” I tell her sincerely.
Her expression widened. I just wish I could fucking kiss her, claim her as mine in front of all of these people. It was getting harder and harder to stop myself. “How about a drink?” She asked, breaking the moment.
“Moscato?”
She nodded as I waved over the bartender. He filled a glass of wine, passing it to Haley. We stood with my arm tossed over her shoulder, watching the typical first dances before the DJ switched the music up. “Okay. Now, can all the bridal party grab a guy or girl and join us on the dance floor!”
I looked at Bennett, who smirked.I knew there was a reason I liked him.I grabbed the wine glass from her grip and set it on the bar. “What do you say? Dance with me?” I held my palm out between us.
“Deal. But don’t step on my toes.”
“I think I can handle that.” I led her out to the dance floor. When we reached the center, I twirled her under my arm before pulling her body tight against mine. Her bare back silky smooth under my touch as I ran my hand up and down her spine before settling right above the curve of her ass. Her breath shuddered and my chest swelled.
We swayed in silence to a sweet country song. I wanted to pull her closer. Tighter.
So, I did.
“You know for a giant you aren’t that bad of a dancer.” Her hair tickled my jaw as she rested her head against my chest. Not an inch of space between us.
“I’ll take that as a compliment.”
“It was.”
“Are you drunk?”
She lifted her head to look at me, smirk firmly in place. “Not yet. Should I be?”
“No.” Grabbing her hand, I twirled her again. Her sweet laughter was music to my ears. We fit together perfectly, just like we were meant to. The DJ called for us to switch partners, but I held on tight.
“Aren’t we supposed to go grab someone different?” Her nose scrunched adorably.
I shrugged. “Maybe. But I’m not done dancing with you.”
Haley tipped her head, eyes softening. The tips of her long, blond hair brushing against my hand on her back. “Okay.”
“Okay.”

“Woah, Woah, Woah.”I slurred as we stumbled up the steps to my house. Haley practically walked sideways. Or was that me? Closing my eyes, I sucked in a breath, trying to clear some of the alcohol fog. I wasn’t drunk, but the buzz was real.
I grabbed Hale’s waist to keep her from falling. “You’re drunk.” I grinned, my fingers flexing against her small waist.
“You’re drunk,” she responded, but didn’t move away from me. Slowly, she flattened her palms against my stomach which flexed instinctively under her touch. Curling her fingers, she dragged her nails against the soft fabric of my shirt, sending a shiver of heat down my spine. My cock twitched and I groaned as she continued to explore my abs, chest, and neck. Eventually, her hand tangled in my hair, freeing it from the holder. “I love your hair like this.”
“Oh, yeah?” My voice rasped lower than normal.
“Yeah. It’s sexy.” She patted my cheek before dropping her hand to her side. My heart fired rapidly.
