“Sure is, darlin’,” I reply, sipping of my coffee. “Feels good to be home.”

“Time for us to enjoy some peace,” she says, her voice filled with hope.

The sound of many Harleys fills the air.

“Here they come. I’m going to make another pot of coffee.” Kat goes up on her tiptoes and kisses me. “I’ve also defrosted a bunch of steaks. You’re on barbecue detail.”

“You arranged this?”

“Yeah, I figured you would want to see your men, but I want to keep you home with me, so I invited the hoards here.”

Laughing, I say, “I got lucky the day you agreed to marry me.”

“Yes, apart from me getting shot on our wedding day, yeah, we both got lucky.”

The first people to make it through the house are Kade and Destiny.

“Prez,” he says by way of a greeting and holds up a six-pack of beer. “Thanks for the invite.”

We clasp hands, and I pull him in for a slap on his back. “You know damn well it wasn’t me, but thanks for the beer.”

Bear, with Shaz close behind him, walks out and looks around. “Want me to light up the barbecue?”

“Yeah, brother, I’d appreciate it.”

Someone turns on the music, and it echoes through the house.

“Hey, Prez!” one of the guys calls out, raising a coffee cup in a salute. “Glad to have you back!”

“Thanks, brother,” I reply, clinking my cup against his. “I’m happy everyone’s safe and sound.”

As the morning turns into the afternoon, Kat and I sit together on a bench, watching the festivities unfold. She leans into me, her body radiating warmth as I wrap an arm around her shoulders.

“Look at them, Dane,” she whispers, nodding toward our children. “They’re happy. Safe. That’s all that matters.” Her green eyes search mine. “Promise me we’ll never let anything come between us.”

“I promise, Kat,” I vow, my voice unwavering. “From this moment on, it’s you and me against the world.”

Kat laughs, and I arch an eyebrow at her. “Babe, that’s what Truth says to Rosie. You’ve been hanging out with my bandmates far too often.”

Laughing, I nod. “How about love and loyalty always?”

“Better.” Kat kisses me, then stands and walks inside the house.

The atmosphere shifts from boisterous to serene as the day drags on. The MC members gather around a fire, sharing stories of past adventures and offering words of gratitude.

“Here’s to the future,” I toast, raising my beer bottle high. “To the Savage Angels, to family, and to the life we’ve built together.”

“May it always be wild, beautiful, and free,” Kat adds, her eyes shining.

As we stand there, united by love and loyalty, I know we will conquer every challenge that threatens to tear us apart. Together, we are unstoppable. And no matter what lies ahead, we will face it as one with courage, passion, and the unbreakable bonds of the Savage Angels MC. Our confrontation with the Lombardis may have tarnished our wings, but one thing holds true—we value love and loyalty above all else.
