Sweaty.

In pain.

Amazed me.

Greatly.

“Birdie, Baby girl, I think…”

“I know what you think Abel Micha Black, but shut your trap,” she bit out and then gritted her teeth as another contraction swept through her.

I was about to comment on how hard that one was before she beat me to it, and snapped, “I know how hard that one was. I was the one experiencing it.”

Just then a nurse knocked on the door, and then came into the room, “How are we doing?”

“I’m ready to get this kid out of me. Because if it doesn’t happen, I’m going to need a sterilized surgery room, a tray of sterilized equipment, and then I’m castrating him.”

“Umm… okay… not sure if we should be here or not,” the moment I heard Caelan’s voice I looked up at him and saw his hand was protecting his junk, same as Baker.

“I think y’all are safe. Because if either one of you got near her with your dicks, I bet she would bite it off, and then I would come up behind her and take a pair of tweezers so I can find the thing, and then burn it off with a sawdering iron.”

She looked up at me, and winked, “Thanks, honey.”

My gaze softened for her, “What are you thanking me for, Baby girl?”

I should have known.

Fuck.

Me.

“For giving me an idea to do to you if this kid of yours doesn’t come out.”

Four hours later, my Birdie proved to me that she was a rockstar.

No pain meds.

And her tiny frame.

Jesus.

Our little bundle of joy came roaring into the world at four twenty-three in the morning weighing in at six pounds and twelve ounces.

I’ve only ever seen something as gorgeous as our baby was, and all I had to do to see it, was look at the sleeping woman at my side.

Three hours later as I was cuddling my Baby girl to my chest, my phone pinged with another message.

Carefully, I pulled it out, and checked the display.

When I saw Briar’s name there, I frowned.

Had something happened with the car?

Opening it, I was shocked to see there was a video waiting for me.

But before I clicked on it, I read what she said.

Briar Caine – I wasn’t sure if you would like this or not, but I know if I were in, your woman’s shoes, I would love it. We got it all on video, from the moment y’all pulled up to the garage, until you got her buckled in her seat and were tearing out of the lot.
