Watching her father, Cody couldn’t help but chuckle. Lee’s chest was so puffed up with pride that his vest buttons looked ready to pop off. But when he turned to look at Addison, his emotions overtook him, and he choked back tears. Her face was aglow with a radiant smile, and as she approached, he could see a tear glistening on her cheek. He covered his mouth with his hand, feeling the same rush of emotion welling up inside of him.

Addison winked at him, and he couldn’t help but grin back. Life with her would never be dull, that was for sure. He never imagined loving someone as much as he loved her, and the only thing that could make it better was having children in the future. But for now, he wanted to savor every moment with his new wife.

After exchanging their vows, they were declared husband and wife. Cody gazed into her eyes as he lifted her veil, cradled her face in his hands, and pressed his lips to hers. He slid his arms around her back and deepened the kiss.

When they pulled away, both of them had tears in their eyes as they faced their guests. Thunderous applause filled the room and laughter erupted when they heard cheers from outside.

Cody took Addison’s hand and led her down the aisle before opening the doors to the outside world. They both laughed at the sight of the roaring crowd.

“I’m so glad I decided to stop in Clifton,” Cody said.

“Not as glad as I am,” Addison replied with a smile as she touched his cheek. “I will love you forever.”

“I feel the same, sweetheart. Forever.” He gently kissed her hand before turning to greet their guests and receive their congratulations.

As the reception began, the band announced the first dance for the newlyweds, and Cody led Addison to the floor. The music of Love Letters filled the room as she stepped into his embrace.

“I was hoping you remembered.”

“Darlin’, how could I ever forget your favorite song?” He lovingly kissed her forehead.

Addison laughed and held him tighter, bringing a smile to his face. This was all he ever wanted in life, and he didn’t even realize it until he met her. All he knew now was that he would never let her go. He promised himself to never do anything that would make her want to leave him. She belonged by his side, and that’s where he knew she would always stay.
