He reared back, snarling as if insulted. “That’s why you’re trippin’?” He pecked my lips before backing up.

“She was grinning way too hard in your face. I know you, and you’re not that funny.”

“You could’ve walked over and told her exactly who you are. If she got out of line, I would’ve checked her.”

“So now it’s my fault?” I scoffed, jumping up on my feet.

“It doesn’t matter whose fault it is. What are we going to do about it?” He asked, sliding his hands in his pockets.

Quest was a solution-driven person. The details surrounding his conversation with Bella didn’t matter because the core issue was being secret lovers.

“I’ll be over when they go to sleep. Then we can figure it out.” Quest smiled because he had gotten his way again, but I was still upset. “Don’t smile at me like that.”

“I’m always when your crybaby ass comes home.”

“You make me sick,” I complained, but the smell of his cologne as he wrapped me in his arms weakened my defenses.

“Just give me what I want.”

“And what does Quest want?”

His brows pinched together, annoyed that I had asked because Quest had no problem expressing his feelings. I knew the answer, but hearing it never got old.

“How many times do I have to say it?” Quest sat me on the edge of his desk and hiked up my dress. “Really, Solana,” he complained, realizing nothing was underneath my dress. “Why are you showing off tonight?” Quest spread my legs and ran his fingers down the length of my clit.

“No.”

“You sure about that?” He dove in headfirst, licking and sucking on my clit. Quest loved being in control, so when he felt like I was squirming too much, he popped my pussy and delivered a stern look. My legs fell aside while Quest went back to tongue-kissing my vagina.

My body trembled. Suddenly, he stopped and announced, “You’ll get the rest when you come home.”

I didn’t need to see Quest to know he was smiling. Forcing me into submission was a hobby he picked up on and thoroughly enjoyed.

“Wow, you’re just going to leave me hanging like that?”

“I have to make sure you keep your word somehow.”

“That’s not fair,” I whimpered.

“Life isn’t always fair, Princess. Come on, let me get you back before Lo calls in reinforcements and somebody else gets shot.”

“That’s not funny!”

“I’m not laughing.”

With a deep sigh, I made a pit stop in the bathroom before finding Hailo so she could see that I was alive and in one piece.

“Girls night kicked your ass huh.” Gi chuckled, hugging me as I walked into my parents’ house. The oversized sunglasses I wore were likely an indicator, but not for the reasons he thought. I was exhausted after spending the night with Quest.

After he finished what he had started in his office, he was wired and forced me to stay up, engaging in pointless debates in the name of quality time. As tired as I was, I indulged because nights with Quest were unpredictable, and we needed to enjoy each other when we could.

“I’m tired.”

“That’s what y’all get. Showing your ass all night,” Gianni fussed.

“We were well-behaved, actually.”

Gianni’s lips quirked. “I know damn well that’s a lie.”
