He thrust his hips forward as he moaned. “Good girl.”

Before him, I never would have thought being ordered around or told I was a good girl would turn me on, but here I was, drenched as he held me and whispered praises while thrusting harder and faster.

“Come with me,” he ordered me as his thrusts began to grow more frantic.

I nodded, not trusting my voice.

Releasing my hands, he gripped my hips, tilted them up, and shouted my name as I came and shouted his.

Chapter

Four

“Reasons being a rabbit shifter is a good thing,” I read as I sat on the grass facing Silverowl.

He sat cross-legged, his hands folded in his lap, and a patient expression on his face that reminded me of a librarian.

When we’d first come out here for my shifting lesson, everyone had tried to stay, but he ordered everyone into the house. I had thanked him at least five times.

“Number one, I’ll be cute.”

He rolled his eyes.

“Number two, I’ll be fast.”

He nodded.

“Number three, better hearing, hopefully.”

He nodded again.

“Number four, bunnies have cute tails.”

He shook his head and chuckled.

“Number five, I could be bait to lead all the predators away.”

He sighed.

“Number six, I’ll be small, so I could hide or fit into smaller places. Number seven, in bunny form I’ll eat less meat so it’ll be cheaper to feed me.”

“Okay,” he said and shook his head, “I can see you are still having trouble accepting how it is beneficial, so let’s get you to shift and then I’ll talk you through them.”

“I tried; I swear!” I protested.

“Deep breath, close your eyes, focus on your magic in your core.”

Instead of trying to defend myself, I did what he said. My magic swirled within my core, ready to be used since I hadn’t used any magic yet today, only trained in fighting.

“Picture a rabbit, envision it from the tip of its nose down to the tip of its tail. Hold that image in your mind, call upon your magic, and will your body to become the rabbit.”

Become the rabbit. Become the rabbit.

I pictured a cute little white rabbit with an adorable pink nose twitching as it smelled the grass, fluffy white fur, and a bushy white round tail.

“Become the rabbit,” I whispered and drew in a slow, deep breath as my magic swirled faster and spread throughout my body.

“Open your eyes, EmberRew,” Silverowl whispered.
