“So, being a rabbit shifter isn’t all bad?” Caleb asked.

“I can’t believe I jumped so high,” I said and shook my head while laughing.

“That warrior form looked incredible. We definitely want to have you train in that form as much as you can.”

“Did you see me in my animal form?” I asked, eyes narrowed.

He shook his head. “I came outside when you jumped in your warrior form.”

“Well, I’d try to show you my form, but I’m feeling pretty magically exhausted.”

Draping an arm around my shoulders, he pulled me towards the house. “I’m not worried about it, I’m sure I’ll see your other form soon.”

“How do you know that?” I asked, leaning into his warmth.

“Once you shift, doing it again is much easier and you’ll find you want to do it.”

“Well, don’t hold your breath,” I teased.

“Welcome to being a shifter!” Fox yelled when I stepped inside.

“Thanks,” I replied and returned his wide smile with my own.

“So, now your training is going to evolve even more,” Rhys said. “Learning to fight in your animal and warrior forms are essential.”

“Fighting in my animal form is not going to happen,” I said with a laugh.

“Why not?” Triston asked from the couch where he was battling against Deryn on a fighting videogame.

“I’m tiny,” I admitted.

“Change!” Caleb said. “Come on, I want to see your animal form.”

“Nope. Didn’t you just say you weren’t worried about it?” Shaking my head, I ducked out from under his arm, and hurried out of the room and towards the kitchen to grab a snack and a bottle of water.

“Just once for a second!” he begged. “How small are we talking? Like this big?” He held his hands about basketball size apart.

Jolie turned around from the fridge, a bag of shredded cheese in one hand and a bag of tortillas in another.

“Oh, quesadilla! One for me, please,” I requested and hopped up to sit on the counter.

“Come on, just once, please,” Caleb begged, stuck out his bottom lip, and widened his eyes.

“Why are you using your puppy eyes on her?” Jolie asked.

Sighing, I crossed my arms over my chest. “He wants me to change.”

“Were you able to?” She set the tortillas and cheese down and went back to the fridge to grab some leftover chicken from tacos they’d made the previous day.

“She turned into a human-sized rabbit and jumped like forty feet into the air,” Caleb told her.

“I wasn’t a human-sized rabbit. It was my warrior form,” I corrected. A human-sized rabbit sounded absolutely terrifying. My phone pinged and I pulled it out to see the images from Silverowl.

Caleb tried to look over my phone, but I tucked it against my chest. He whined and shifted into a wolf, tucking his tail between his legs as he whined at me.

“Wow, that’s just dirty,” Jolie said and shook her head.

Hopping down, I showed her the images, but kept the phone tilted so Caleb couldn’t see.
