His smiled remained as she “freshened up.” This feeling in his chest was new and he liked it. Having her in his room, using his stuff, sharing his bed. He imagined doing this more often, like having her in his apartment back home.

“What are you grinning about?” Morgan asked, leaning on the door frame.

“I just like having you here, sleeping in my bed and using my stuff.”

“And I like being here.” She crawled back into his bed and into his arms.

“You’re welcome to stay here, if you want.”

“I can’t stay here forever.”

“Do they even know that you’re here?”

“No.” She shook her head. “I’ll have to go back sooner or later, but just not today.”

“Even though he doesn’t like me, your uncle really isn’t that bad of a guy. I’m sure he’ll welcome you back with open arms. You are his niece, after all.”

“I’m sure he will, too, but I can’t live there anymore. It’s obvious he can’t treat me like the adult that I am. It’s nice that he let me stay there, but it’s not working.”

“What are you going to do?”

“I don’t know.”

“Morgan,”—he pulled her close—“you need to help me out here. If you need a shoulder to cry on, I’m here. If you want to stay here, the place is yours. But I really don’t know what to do to make this all better for you.”

“I don’t need you to make it better. Just holding me is enough.”

“Are you feeling better?” He ran his hand through her soft, light brown hair.

“I am. Sorry for my outburst earlier. I’m sure I freaked you out.” She looked up at him with her beautiful blue eyes.

“Not at all. I’m glad I could be here for you. Are you hungry? We can order some dinner. Or if you want, we can talk more.”

“Not hungry and don’t want to talk. I really just want to stay right here, in your arms.” She laid her head on his chest.

“Sounds good to me. We can watch TV if you like.”

She looked around the room. It was clean, but sparsely decorated and generic. “There’s not much else to do here, apart from television. Don’t you get bored?”

Sliding his hands around her waist, he pulled Morgan tightly to him. “You see, it doesn’t really matter how boring the hotel is where they put you up in, we’re not in it all that often anyway. The point is to focus on being good enough that they want you to stay. Then you can get your own place.”

“You’re pretty good. I think you have a shot.”

“I sure hope so.” He looked from her eyes to lips. “I’m beginning to really like what Pittsburgh has to offer.”

“Me too.” Her voice was low and sexy. She stared up at him, her eyes shining. “You know what would make me feel better?”

“What?”

“I’ll give you a hint.” She climbed onto his lap. “It’s not TV.”

“Even better.” Travis kissed her lips hungrily, as if he hadn’t seen her in weeks. He only drew away long enough to pull off his shirt.

Morgan fiddled with the button on his jeans and then pulled her own shirt off and dropped it to the floor.

Sliding under the covers, he wrapped her up in his arms, her warm body pressing against his. As he dropped light kisses on her skin, her perfume filled his senses.

“You’re beautiful,” he whispered, as their bodies moved together.
