“Okay,” she said, turning the charm back on. “It’s only nine o’clock. How about we work up an appetite?” She looked to the empty part of the bed, then back to him. “After, we can get some breakfast, and lots of coffee. Then in the afternoon, I can help you pack.”

Travis sighed and rubbed the back of his neck. “You don’t have to do that. I haven’t been here that long, so half of my stuff is still in suitcases.”

“Travis, come here,” she said sweetly.

He looked over at her with dark eyes. Eyes that were so expressive when he was angry or sad. But right now, he just looked lost. He scratched at his beard.

“Please?”

His expression softened, and his stare focused on her. It was difficult to explain, but she liked when he looked at her like she was the only girl in the world.

“Sure,” he said, his voice low and sexy.

Travis pulled off his t-shirt and slid into bed next to her.

Her face burned. The image of Travis in only flannel pajama bottoms made her very happy and was something she could get used to. She swiftly pulled off the hoodie.

Travis took the hoodie from her hands and tossed it onto a chair across the room. He dropped a few kisses on her shoulder and then her collarbone. He tugged the sheet down some, then moved his lips down her torso. Heat ran through her body at his touch.

This could be the last time she’d be this close to him, at least for a while. She loosened her hold on the covers, letting them slide down as Travis covered her body with his.

“I wish you didn’t have to go,” she said, as she placed a kiss on his shoulder.

“You and me both.” He stilled, his eyes on hers. “Maybe you should come with me.” He said it more of a statement than a question.

The thought had crossed her mind. “If I was some trophy girlfriend with no job, maybe I’d be packing my stuff right now.”

“You want to get your own place, so come with me.” He resumed covering her body in kisses.

“I have a brand new job. A job that my uncle got me. It would feel like I was throwing his help in his face. And anyway, I’m not the type to ignore responsibility.” As Travis’s hands ran over her body, she suddenly wished she could just pick up and move with him. Being with him every night sounded like heaven. And she wondered if maybe she could.

“I knew that, but I had to try.”

“I don’t hate the idea, though.” Maybe she could be that kind of person, after all. “I know this stuff happens all the time in hockey, but I’m not ready for you to go.”

“Can’t say I’m real fond of it, either.” His hands ran down her body and he kissed her stomach.

Morgan tugged at his shoulders, wanting his attention. She only continued once he met her stare. “There are not many people that I let my guard down with, but I’m oddly comfortable with you. I’ve had so much thrown at me in life. But when I’m with you, you feel like home.”

Her cheeks heated, and hot tears filled her eyes at the thought of him leaving. Clearing her throat, she blinked the tears away.

“Please don’t be sad.” He kissed her nose. “It’s just a setback. I might be back soon, who knows? I guess we could do long distance.”

She grinned and looped her arms around his shoulders. “You’d better, because I’m kind of falling for you.”

“Oh?” He raised an eyebrow and grinned his trademark flirty grin. “I’m happy to hear that, because I’m falling for you, too. Are you sure you won’t come with me?”

She grinned. “Let me sleep on it.”

“Oh, there will be no sleeping going on here.” He pulled her close and grinned, his cocky smirk back. “As you pointed out, we only have today together, so it’s best to use that time wisely.”

Travis kicked off his pajama pants. He reached in the drawer for a condom, tearing open the package, and rolled the condom on. With one swift movement, he pressed his warm, muscular body against hers. Instantly, she forgot about everyone and everything. The only thing that mattered was him and her.

Her heart raced, and every part of her ached for him. His kiss sent her heart aflutter, his hot lips pressed against hers, as he entered her fully. Their bodies moved together as if they were made for one another. The way he touched her, and how he made her feel—he did feel like home.

Morgan rolled on top so she could see his handsome face. His strong hands helped her hips tilt against him. With a groan, she matched his every movement, taking in every second of being with him.

With a devilish grin, he rolled her back to the bed and covered her again. As they moved together, she held tight to him with every thrust. Heat ran through her, and her desire heightened. Filling her completely, his jaw tightened, and his eyes were locked on her. The force of the thrusting and feel of him exploding inside her sent her spiraling into an orgasm.
