“Mallory?” Pratt asked as she stepped into the house.

“What the hell are you two doing here?” Brody asked, upset seeing them coming in the front door.

“You guys need to focus on these asshats, we’re focusing on Mallory.” Raso threw out, going towards Opie and Mallory.

“I’m fine. They kept asking about a thumb drive.” Mallory informed the group. “The Jeffe guy claimed that when we did our raid six months ago, we raided the office and took a thumb drive.”

“You know you did, bitch. We have you fuckers on video.” Jeffe growled at Mallory before groaning in pain when Diesel kicked him in the balls.

“Sorry, didn’t realize I was that close. Foot got a cramp.” Diesel shrugged as she scratched the back of her neck.

“Yeah, we went into the office because we thought the person we were looking for was being held in there. We never took shit from that office. There wasn’t even a laptop or a computer in there, so kind of hard to take a thumb drive.” Tuck answered, shaking his head at Jeffe.

“Bullshit. You Americans were the only one to have ever entered the damn room. I saw you with my own eyes!” Jeffe screamed out, glaring at Tuck.

“Dude, are you really that fucking stupid…never mind yeah you are. Even we know there’s tunnels out the ass going in and out of that compound. Every cartel warlord has escape plans for each room they are in. I wouldn’t be surprised if there was a fucking escape tunnel out of that office…” Pratt stopped what she was saying midsentence as something occurred to her.

“What is it lass?” Highlander asked his wife, stepping near her in worry.

“Escape tunnels. You idiots are accusing them of stealing a thumb drive when they went into the office from the door. Tuck you said there wasn’t any electronics in the office when you went in?”

“None that we saw. But then again, to be honest I wasn’t looking for electronics. I was ordered, along with Op’s here to go into the office to see if our target wasn’t in there since they weren’t in the room that we were told they were being held in.” Tuck answered shrugging, placing his forearms cross the butt of his gun.

“Did you guys ever find the target you went in to find?” Raso asked, catching up with Pratt’s train of thought suddenly.

“No. We searched the entire compound. Never found the target. Target was found several days later in the US, in El Paso when she went to the base there and identified herself and gave a key phrase.” Jep answered for his men, looking at Pratt weird.

“Taz, what did your contact tell you before shit hit the fan.” Sgt. Brocard demanded from Taz, as all eyes turned to her.

“Our train of thought on Jr was all wrong. Seems that Jr and Sr here were estranged. While Jr did go to college for law school, he dropped out when he found out daddy dearest sold his sister to the Sinaloa Cartel. He joined the DEA and became one of their best agents. Using his father’s name, getting back into his good graces with permission from the DEA, he went undercover in the Sinaloa Cartel with his daddy vouching for him. The DEA faked a law degree with assistance from the university that the kid was going through to assist them.” Taz admitted to the group.

“Wait, you’re telling me that Jr fucked over poppa Bainfort and went undercover in the Sinaloa Cartel to find his sister?” Raso asked, shock in her voice as she looked at Taz.

“Yep. He managed to bring down several of the top-level henchmen to work his way up the ladder. That’s how we were able to find out who the real leader of the Sinaloa Cartel was instead of who they were trying to claim it was.” Taz nodded, dancing from foot to foot.

“We took the kid out for no fucking reason?” Pratt asked, her heart going sick.

“That’s just it, we didn’t take him out. He had on a vest. He’s the one who came and claimed the sister while we were out on a raid a couple of days ago. When he found it safe and realized no one was coming to harm her, he got his boss to get her, so their father wouldn’t know what had happened. She’s in rehab in DC. Your godfather, Keon, has them both in protective custody for a while under new names.”

“Thank God!” Pratt sighed out. “Alright, let’s deal with these idiots. Mallory are you sure you’re ok and don’t need to be taken to the hospital? I’d feel better knowing you were checked out.”

“I’m good. So, I’m guessing this Bainfort Jr is the one who took the USB drive?” Mallory asked, leaning into Opie.

“Yeah. He took it, the laptop and the target you guys went in for and escaped through one of the tunnels and got it all to the US. One of the reasons the Sinaloa Cartel is scrambling right now.” Taz confirmed to the group.

“You’re all going to pay.” Jeffe growled out. “None of you will know a moments peace.”

“Actually, asshat, we will. Especially once word gets out who your sperm donor was, and we get word back to the cartel that you brokered a plea deal, in exchange for sharing some information for us. Hell, I may even tell them you were the undercover plant by the DEA, trying to clean up your daddy’s last name.” Pratt smirked at Jeffe, winking at him.

“Damn you are cold woman.” Jordyn laughed as she shook her head, high-fiving Pratt.

“Eh I have my moments.”

“Ah, the gods have shined down on me. I think when I get my phone call, Alexsandra, Krieger is going to be so happy to hear his bride is still alive and not missing as we have thought, all these years.” Lester Granstov said in broken English, staring at Diesel.

Seeing Diesel go pale white, Carter pulled the man up by his collar and got into his face, “What did you say asshole?”
