The three other techs working with me today were all standing around, bullshitting, when there was a knock on the door.

The man standing there wasn’t the one who was slowly taking over every piece of my heart, but he was just as cute.

“Hey, Quinn.” I smiled at him. “Whatcha got there?”

“I was tasked to bring you food.” He paused. “But only because I was already at the restaurant, and my brother’s a stalker.”

Quincy being a stalker was laughable to me, seeing as he was so by the book about everything.

I tilted my head, a smile on my face. “What do you mean?”

“I guess, technically, we all do it.” He shrugged, looking slightly guilty. “It’s a running joke that we see where everyone is at when we’re hungry. It’s inevitable that at least one of us is out eating. Guess it was my turn to be the snack bitch.”

He held out the small personal pizza. “Something small, he said. Since you’re almost done with your shift. So, I got you a personal pizza. It’s only pepperoni. Didn’t know what you liked.”

I beamed at him before reaching out and taking the small pizza. “Thank you.”

“Who’s this?” one of the other techs, Cassie, asked.

I smiled, but it didn’t meet my eyes.

“Uh, this is Quinn, my, erm…”

“I’m Quinn. Her man’s brother.” He smiled, and his also didn’t reach his eyes.

Her man.

Was that what Quincy was? My man?

I wanted him to be.

I mean, last night had been out of this world. I would like to have that for the rest of my days if I could. I never, not in a million years, would’ve thought sex could be like that.

I wasn’t a virgin.

Hadn’t been since I was sixteen and curious.

But none of the three men I’d slept with had played my body like Quincy had. None had been able to coax even one orgasm out of me, let alone two.

“Oh, it’s nice to meet you.” Tessa batted her eyelids at him, causing her fake eyelashes to sway dangerously.

Quinn jerked up his chin, then glanced at me. “Have a good one, darlin’.”

Then he was gone, swaggering out just as quietly as he’d snuck in.

I opened the box of pizza and groaned.

I loved food.

I loved pizza even more.

Picking up a slice, I took a big bite, nearly moaning when the cheesy, greasy, doughy goodness hit my tongue.

“Can we have one?”

I glanced at them and shook my head. “Sorry, but no. I haven’t had my afternoon snack yet.”

They had.
