It was my turn to take a chance and show him how much I loved him.

I hadn’t wanted to admit it to myself, but I’d fallen for him ages ago. I couldn’t pinpoint the exact moment things changed, but they had.

It was time to stop pretending we’d ever just been friends.

The lights around us lowered.

I snapped my head up.

The lights dimmed again, shrouding the room in darkness.

I glanced around. Two bartenders were busy doing what I assumed was their closing routine, but the rest of the staff was gone.

“What’s going on?” I asked, turning to Noah.

He shrugged innocently, but his smirk told me he was in on whatever was happening.

Movement to my left caught my attention. River walked toward us in a pair of black pants and no shirt, his steps sure and a cocky grin on his handsome face.

I drank him in as he knelt in front of me.

“So, I did a thing.” He grinned and flipped his hair back from his face.

“You did? What kind of thing?”

“I know being brought on stage during a show would make you super uncomfortable, and honestly, I don’t really like the idea either.”

“You don’t.”

He shook his head. “Not with you. I don’t want to share that with anyone else. I want to dance for you, but I want it to be special.”

My heart pounded in my chest.

I did a quick sweep of the room. The bartenders were gone. I glanced at Noah. He winked and slipped away from the table.

“What do you say?” River asked. “Can I dance for you?”

“I say yes, please.”

He beamed, his expression so filled with joy it made my heart sing.

Taking his offered hand, I let him pull me out of my chair and lead me to the stage. He helped me climb up the platform and brought me over to a metal chair that was tucked behind the mechanical bull, which was still center stage.

“Usually I’d have more room to work with.” He gave my shoulder a little push. I eagerly dropped onto the chair. “But I think we can make do with what we’ve got. Just means it’ll be cozier.”

My mouth was as dry as the Sahara as he straddled my thighs and sank down on them.

“You still want this?” he asked, his gaze as soft as his tone.

“I want this.”

Leaning forward, he pressed a gentle kiss against my lips. I tried to kiss him back, chasing his mouth as he pulled away.

He grinned and booped me on the nose playfully. “As much as I want to get lost kissing you, we have to follow the rules. Even if it is after hours.”

Not wanting to get him in trouble, I sat back in my chair.

“Now, are you going to be good for me?” He draped his arms over my shoulders and pressed his hard body against mine. His cock, already as hard as mine, bumped my stomach.
