He licked his lips, still looking up at me.

“Hayden.” I moaned his name and flopped back on the couch. “You killed me.”

He chuckled, but the sound of a zipper snapped me out of my daze. I looked down at him.

“Stop.”

He froze, his hands on his fly.

“My turn.”

“You don’t have to.” He shook his head. “I can finish myself.”

I sat up and pulled him to his knees. “You don’t want me to?”

“No, I mean, yes. But you don’t have to. It’s fine.”

Not caring that my dick was still out and my shirt was wide open, I tugged him back onto my lap and settled him on my thighs.

“I want to.” I fumbled with his fly, my hands clumsy since my body and brain were still reconnecting. Realizing my mistake, I switched tactics. I’d never understood why the people who made clothes didn’t put the buttons on the same side of men’s and women’s pants. I wasn’t used to this angle.

“Are you sure?” He rested his hands on my shoulders, steadying himself.

“Oh yeah. You’re not the only one who’s been thinking about this all day.” I finally got his pants open and tugged them down so they rested under his ass. “Take this off.” I pushed the front of his hoodie up.

He did. I didn’t miss how his hands shook.

When it was on the floor, I took a moment to drink him in. His t-shirt was loose enough it skimmed his body, showing off the long lines of his torso.

He immediately tugged the front of his shirt away from his stomach.

Abandoning my mission to get his dick in my mouth, I flipped him off my lap and lay him on the couch.

“Oh!” he gasped, his eyes wide as I settled over him.

I paused, giving him a chance to say no. He didn’t.

Slowly, I lay over him, blanketing him with my body.

His chest rose and fell in quick bursts as he panted.

I slicked my tongue over his bottom lip. “It’s okay. I’ve got you, baby.”

His pupils blew wide at the endearment.

I wasn’t the type to call people by pet names, ever, but it just slipped out with him.

“You look so hot like this, all spread out for me.” Dipping my head, I dropped a line of nibbling kisses against his throat, starting at his collarbone and moving up to his jaw.

He sighed and tilted his head to the side, giving me better access.

I continued along his jaw, then kissed the side of his mouth.

“River,” he said on a breath, his eyes almost black with desire.

“Relax for me,” I whispered when he tensed. “I won’t hurt you.”

“I know.” He blinked and looked away, his jaw tight. “I’m sorry. I’m ruining everything.”
