Being alone and distant is just better.

Breaker – 27 Years Old

I smile as Addison slowly glides her nail along my forearm, tracing Noah's name, which is tattooed diagonally in old English lettering. Tats, my club brother, did it for me.

Addison’s brown eyes shine with lust.

We've been dating for about five months, and she's nice. There's something there, at least I think there is.

Fuck….

Something isn't right. Crow mentioned maybe I feel off because I haven't introduced Noah to her yet. She's the first girl I've dated since he was born two years ago. I've ensured he's always put first, and I've put this meeting off for a while.

I fucking love that boy to bits. When the DNA came back stating he was mine, my momma was standing there right next to me, telling Jingles exactly how things were going to go, and she had rules to follow; one of them is that Noah is not to be left alone with her.

I don't trust the bitch as far as I can throw her.

Jingles was pissed, realizing she wasn't getting my patch or a cent from me because I have full custody, a judge on our payroll ensured it before she even gave birth. She continues to be pissed because she's on the no-go list. She cleans the clubhouse, cooks the food, and gets half of her wages for it, the other half paying for her food and board, but that's it. No brother will touch her, and she hates it, and has only stayed because she has nowhere else to go.

Her plan failed epically. She clearly did not look too closely at Snatch's situation, who is Tats' egg donor. He has nothing to do with her, despite her still being in the club.

I call bullshit shit.

I give Add a smile. Jingles won’t interact with Noah. The most interaction they had was when the nurse put him on her chest, and she shouted for them to remove him. Ken grabbed him instantly.

"I've missed you today, baby. Why don't we go to your room?" I raise a brow at Addison's low whisper as she bites her bottom lip seductively, and…nothing. I feel fucking nothing.

I lean forward, making her eyes brighten, but they dim, as I say, "We're here for you to finally meet Noah, Add. Be patient, yeah?"

She clears her throat and nods before I peck her lips, making her smile.

Yep, nothing, I feel absolutely nothing. The feeling my dad said that he felt for my momma, that she consumed him with every touch, and now the way Crow mentions the tingling sensation he gets whenever she’s near….

And I feel nothing….

"Dadda…."I hear a screech, making me turn to the door in time to see my perfect boy, who is thankfully my double, gingerly rushing toward me on his two little legs. His black hair is all over the place, and his green eyes shine as Ken rushes after him, giggling. I notice Doc in my side view, watching her with longing, making me want to snort.

"Noah, slower, pickle…" Ken calls, making me chuckle as she catches him right before he faces plants on the wooden flooring.

I shake my head and stand as Jingles, who is on a very fucking thin line, sneers in his direction, making me bark, "Jingles, out now!" This causes her to jump and rush out of the room in time for Noah to jump from Kennedy's arms and into mine, and I chuckle at Ken's flustered gasp.

"Have you been running Auntie Ken ragged, bud?"

He giggles as Ken shakes her head, small pieces of her black hair with the blue dip dye falling out of the messy knot on top of her head.

"He's been an angel, as always…."

I give her a grin knowing she's bullshitting. The boy is a handful. You take one eye off him, and paint is covering your floors. I should fucking know.

Noah places his head into my neck, making me sigh in contentment, holding him close.

Ken’s eyes soften as Addison clears her throat and states, "No offense, Kendell, but you being all over my boyfriend and my soon to be stepson is not okay! Take a step back, yeah."

I look at her in shock as Ken makes a gagging sound and I have to try not to smirk as I look to Addison.

"First of all, her name is Kennedy, and she is family." Ken clears her throat, and I roll my eyes, backtracking. "She's grown up with the club, so that makes her family. Second of all, she's Noah's aunt, and has been there since the day he was born. Heck, she was even in the delivery room, holding him even before I did."
