She scowled and glared up at him. “You can’t count at me! I’m not hungry, and I want to keep playing. My dollies and I are going to have a fashion show.”
He raised an eyebrow. “Two.”
She crossed her arms across her chest and shook her head. He didn’t just get to boss her around whenever he wanted. Right? Just because he was Daddy didn’t mean she had to do everything he said. If she wasn’t hungry, she wasn’t hungry. No point in eating if you’re not hungry. Hmph.
“Three.”
Kane strode into the room, making it over to her in three steps, and plucked her up from the floor, leaving her dollies behind.
“Daddy! Put me down. I’m not done playing.”
He didn’t say anything. Instead, he carried her to the naughty girl stool and set her on it with her nose facing the corner. She tried to stand, but his heavy hand on her shoulder didn’t allow it.
“You sit right here and do not move.”
His low voice stilled her, and she scowled into the corner with a dramatic sigh. She could feel him standing behind her, and when she turned to look at him, he pointed toward the corner and raised his eyebrow. Yeah, yeah, she got it—she was supposed to face the corner.
So mean.
“When Daddy tells you to do something, you need to obey. So now, instead of going downstairs to eat lunch and being able to come back up and play, you are going to sit in the corner for ten minutes and then come down and eat lunch, and then you’re going to go down for a nap since you seem to be a bit cranky.”
“But I’m not cra?—”
“No talking while you’re in the corner,” he scolded.
Well, that just sucked.
After what seemed like forever, Kane called for her. He sat in the rocking chair, watching her as she turned. He crooked his finger for her to come to him and pointed between his legs. She walked slowly over to him until his hands reached out for hers and pulled her so she was so close to him that she could feel the heat of his body on hers.
“Ignoring Daddy and not obeying is something that I would normally spank your bottom for instantly. It is disrespectful, and it hurts Daddy’s feelings. I am just trying to take care of you and get you back to being healthy by doing the things that Logan said needed to be done. Which falls under your health rules, and you know how seriously I take those.”
Okay, now she just felt like shit. She wasn’t trying to hurt his feelings, and he was only trying to take care of her.
You deserve a spanking for treating him like that. He’s been nothing but sweet to you.
His eyes were that warm chocolatey color that she loved so much, and she knew he wasn’t angry at her. His eyes always became dark when he was angry, almost black. He wasn’t calling her names or screaming at her like Tim would have done. He was calm and relaxed, and she still felt safe and secure even though he was lecturing her.
“Is there anything you’d like to say for yourself before we go down and eat lunch?”
Just ask him to spank you. You know you want it, and it would probably make you feel better. Don’t be a wimp. He’s only holding back because he thinks you’re broken. You deserve to be spanked.
“Um… I think that you should spank me, Daddy. I deserve it.”
Kane gaped at her, his mouth hanging open slightly, and she couldn’t help but giggle. He blinked and then blinked again before she saw his eyes clear, and his expression turned into a look of determination.
“Are you sure you’re ready for that, Haylee? Because once I spank you, you won’t get any more free passes, and I am a very strict Daddy. I don’t let very much slide.”
Well, shoot. She hadn’t thought of that. But she needed to feel his dominance. Experience it. And she craved Kane. She loved how take charge and stern he was. Even when he was being overbearing. Yes, she needed a spanking.
“I’m sure,” she said as confidently as she could.
He nodded. “What’s your safe word?”
“Red.”
“You can use it at any time for anything, even during discipline, but it will not get you out of your punishment. However, if you say it, we will stop and reassess. Understood?”
