“Ms. Webster.” Gregory, the bouncer, offers me a nod. Unhooking the rope he allows the three of us to pass and Taylor blows him a kiss.

“Please tell me you did not screw the bouncer,” Marco dares her and she smiles back at him.

“Okay then I won’t.” She shrugs and continues on.

“Girl, you’ve got to refrain,” Marco lectures her. “You have to make them work for it.”

“Oh he worked for it.” She turns around and walks backwards down the hall with a sly grin on her face. “He worked for at least ten minutes, and two orgasms. That man knows exactly what to do when he goes down town, if you know what I’m saying.” Wagging her eyebrows I can’t help but laugh.

Immediately my thoughts go to Jensen and how he woke me up this morning, his face buried between my legs, my hands fisting the sheets. Dirty, dirty man, but oh so good at it.

“So is Keeton meeting us here?” I ask Marco and he quickly forgets all about Taylor and her flaming vagina.

“He’s already here and has a table waiting.” Things are going really well between the two of them. It's sweet to see them together and Keeton is so attentive to Marco. I love it!

“And Jensen?” Taylor asks loudly over the music that has now picked up as we get into the club.

“He’s working, finishing some things up. It’s been hard for the two of us to get time together. But I think he’s going to try.”

We join Keeton and he and Marco instantly get lost in each other's company.

“How’s the case going?” Taylor leans in as I check my messages. “Connor said that they’ve hit a dead end.”

“You’re still talking to Connor?”

“I wouldn’t say what we are doing is talking.” She shrugs but the smile on her face shows she’s enjoying whatever is going on. “I’ve never had such a skillful booty call. I get what I need, he gets what he needs, there are no expectations, no feelings.” I still question the feelings part. “But last night after work he and I met up, he ran out to get him and Jensen coffee, it was quick but served the purpose.”

I don’t need the details of her quickie.

“Anyway, when we were getting dressed he mentioned that Jensen and him have been pulling all-nighters and have gotten no leads.”

“Yeah.” So I too am surviving on quickies though at least Jensen stays after, even if only to catch a few hours sleep. But it’s been difficult, and few and far between, I miss him.

“He texted earlier and said they had a few interviews, a visit back to the scene too. So maybe they’ll catch a break.”

Jasper, one of the waiters, walks by and drops off our regulars. “It’s crazy in here tonight but I’ll try to keep yours coming.” He winks at me before walking off.

“Why you never let that man have his way with you, I will never understand.” Taylor watches him walk away and I lift my whiskey to take a drink. “His ass is impeccable.”

She isn’t lying. Jasper is a trainer by day, hoping to one day open his own gym. The man is built, and hard in all the right places.

“Something tells me those powerful legs give him an advantage. I bet he could hold you up, while driving in to?—”

“Okay,” I interrupt her but laugh. I will admit I thought about it so many times, and after a really hot make-out session with him where he had me up against a wall in the storage room, I had so many dreams. The dirtiest kind of dreams, those that you wake from and swear you’ve just reached your peak.

But I knew it would only complicate things so I told him things couldn’t go further than they already had.

“Hello, ladies,” Keeton acknowledges us after he and Marco finally realized they weren’t all alone. “How are you both?”

“Good,” I say at the same time Taylor says, “Horny.” She has no filter.

“One quickie in the last week and a half wasn’t enough. I need a good hour-long session. I need to pass out from too many orgasms and walk around the next day on wobbling legs.”

“Well.” Keeton laughs as he looks over to Marco and I notice how my dear friend blushes. “I’m sure with as hot as you look tonight that will not be a problem. I have already seen a few men noticing.”

Taylor scans the area and nods as if she too is noticing her prospects.

My phone vibrates and lights up on the table and I grab it, flipping it over, disappointed when I find it's an alert for my meeting tomorrow afternoon.
