"What's going overboard?"

She eyed me before slapping me in the back of my head. "All of you are the same. Men are always thinking with their dicks."

"Hey, my brain is up there. What if you fuck it up even more?" I rubbed my head, trying my hardest not to grin.

Melony ignored me, shaking her head. "I'm going home. I miss my girlfriend, and if she sends me one more video, I might just lose my mind."

"Oh, that's right, Gin said something about you banging Tex's friend. How's that going? Wedding bells?"

Melony headed for the door with a smile on her face. "I don't know, she's younger than me and she has a life she needs to live."

"But? I’m waiting for it, ‘cause there is no way there isn't one."

The good doctor flipped me off. "But—" Melony shrugged.

"She's yours," I supplied.

"I'm not like you idiots. Possessing someone isn't a great way to start off a relationship.”

I laughed. I knew Melony for years. She was just as crazy, if not more so, than us. A single brow lift was all I gave her, and she flipped me off again. Laughter spilled from her lips as she headed out the door. She'd figure out she was just as insane as the rest of us. There was a reason she got along with the Vitales.

Left alone, I went back to straightening up the place. The girls were upstairs at Benito's place playing with baby Emica and Harlow. For now, we were going to stay in Benito's building. This felt safer. Besides, I liked being near my brothers again. I wasn’t ready to leave.

I unwrapped the new frames I had delivered and put photos in each of them. My chest filled with warmth as I hung up each one. There was Dawn and the girls, Dawn and York, one of all four of them together and then there was one of me, York, and our daughters.

I took a step back and smiled at the display. Our little family.

My phone vibrated and I took it out to see both girls were messaging me.

Navy: We learned a new trick!!????

Nyra:????

Navy: Attached video

The girls were flipping knives over their knuckles before tossing and catching them.

Paolo: Wow, you two have talent. Who taught you to do that?

Nyra: Mr. Quincy and Uncle Harlow??

Of course.

Paolo: Let's not tell your dad or show him.

Navy: kk????

Nyra: ????

They had their phones again, which meant we had happy little pre-teens. The spoiled brats they were had Christmas lists longer than my forearms. I planned to get them every single item. It was the least I could do after everything they'd gone through. Their adjustment was coming along, and we'd finally agreed on a good therapist. Dr. Jaggis came with a long list of credentials, not to mention she got along with the girls.

Before I put my phone away, I checked for any messages from York. He was going to be back home later tonight. York was back at work as of a week ago, doing what he did best. As far as Paul Gallo went, the news should be hitting the FBI circuit any second now. As my boss, York would be the first one to receive the news.

Right on cue, my phone rang.

"Hey, sweet cheeks. You on your way back yet? Miss you already."

"What the hell is this shit?" York growled.
