I’m about done with this woman. “You know what, joining you was a mistake.” I try to turn around and leave the way we came because there’s no way I’m dealing with this woman every day. I’ll end up killing her.
“You're not going anywhere, Trouble,” Zane growls, practically smothering me in his hold. He looks at Gianna. “You will stop this bullshit right now. We know who this fucking is. She’s our best friend, our girl. Our fucking omega. Jade will be with us from now on. She is coming on tour with us, too. So, get fucking used to it. And if you can’t, might I remind you, that you work for us. Don't make it so that we have to replace you.”
“You can’t be serious!” she gasps, eyes widening in surprise. “Why are you talking like this, Zane? I’ve been with you for the past six years. This isn’t like you.”
“What isn’t like me is letting anyone talk down to my omega. I’m not discussing this anymore. Deal with it, Gianna, or leave,” he snaps before pulling me along past her, leaving her fuming.
“I can’t believe you're acting like this, Gianna.” Griffin’s disappointed voice sounds from behind us.
“Your brother is going to lose his shit when he finds out!” Gianna shouts back.
“I don’t give a fuck what that asshole thinks!” Zane barks back.
“Brother?” I ask, brows furrowing as I look up at Zane. He doesn’t have a brother. None of them do. They’re all only children.
Zane sighs. “It’s a long story. I’ll tell you when we get settled in.”
So... I was right, there is a lot I still don’t know about these guys. A brother? What the hell has happened since they left?
It was easy to agree to what the guys were offering when we were on the plane when it was just the four of us alone. But now that I’ve stepped into their world, I’m starting to think I’m not going to be able to handle it.
I know the life of a rock star is crazy, but just how crazy are we talking?
Chapter 14
Zane
The only reason I’m not down there ripping into Gianna right now is the fact that I have my omega wrapped up tightly under my arm.
Gianna has always taken her job seriously, and she’s good at it. We owe her for a lot of our success, but I draw the line when it comes to Jade. I will not allow anyone to speak disrespectfully towards her. And the way Gianna was talking about her as if she wasn’t there and then side-eyeing her like she’s a common whore has me all sorts of pissed off.
She almost had Jade running out of there—not that she would have gotten far—but I don’t blame her.
“We’re going to talk to her,” I grumble into Jade’s ear as we head up the elevator to the presidential suite. “She shouldn’t have talked to you or about you like that.”
She looks up at me, her green eyes capturing my attention. I want to lean in and kiss her, to run my tongue along her tempting, full, pink lips. But I know if I try that right now, I’m either going to get my face slapped or my balls kneed. Fuck, I still can't believe she's really here.
“Look, she’s your manager. I’m new to your world, I’m not going to come in and start making demands and acting all entitled just because you invited me along on this tour. But I will make it known that I won’t tolerate her behavior and will speak up for myself. If that ends up causing you issues, then that's the only thing I’ll be sorry about.”
“You never have to be sorry for defending yourself, Jade,” Everett says. “That's one of the things we loved about you growing up. You might have had us by your side, but you always knew how to hold your own.”
“It’s fucking hot.” Griffin chuckles, and I’d have to agree. The mouth on her has my cock hard as stone, even when it’s directed toward me.
The elevator dings, and the doors open. I guide Jade out, my arm still around her. She hasn’t tried to pull away yet, so I call this a win.
“Where are all the other rooms?” Jade asks as she looks down the small hall that only has one door.
“There are no others,” I tell her, stopping in front of the door. I grab the keycards tucked inside the door and unlock it. “We’re the only ones up here.”
“Holy shit,” she whispers as we step inside the suite. I let her go, watching as she takes off to explore. “This isn’t a hotel room, this is a whole damn apartment.”
I smirk, shaking my head. The other two have matching expressions of amusement.
“The view...” she says in a sigh as we step into the living room area. “You can see everything.”
“We love staying here every time we’re in this city. It’s got everything we need. Here is the living room, to the left is the dining room, which is attached to the kitchen, and to the right is the bedroom. There’s only one king-sized bed, but we usually just sleep together.”
“Oh.” She looks away from gazing out the window. “Okay. I can sleep on one of these couches.” She waves toward the gray plush sofas with gold and silver pillows.
