It’s crazy to think that there are people who do not only love these guys, but worship them.

Me? They’re just my best friends, the loves of my life. I’ll always swoon when they sing, but not because of who they are; it’s because of the way they make me feel when they do. It’s always felt like every time they sing, it’s a private concert just for me.

“You two are so adorable,” Gianna says, taking me by surprise. I look over at her standing next to me, this big grin on her face.

“Who?” I ask, not sure what the hell she’s talking about.

“You and Calvin, of course.” She giggles, pushing my arm as if we’re best friends. What the hell?

“Oh. Ah, thanks?” I look over to where he’s talking to someone from the label. He laughs, tossing his head back, and I smile. He’s so handsome. And then my eyes flick over to the others, and I do the same. Their smiles light up the whole room as Everett, Griffin and Zane talk. But it’s as if the fans aren't there. That's how I can tell because their smiles aren't fake. But the fans don’t mind, they are standing there eating up every word that the guys have to say.

“A little birdy told me you and Calvin are scent matches. Congratulations. He really is a catch, isn’t he? Older, good-looking, an awesome job, money.” She wiggles her eyebrows. “What more could you want? You two are going to be so happy together.”

“Thank you. I hope so. I’m blessed to have Calvin as my alpha. But, ah, you do know I’m with the others right? Zane, Griffin, and Everett?”

She keeps her fake smile plastered on her face as she looks at me, eye twitching like she doesn’t like that answer.

“Yeah, but it’s all fun and games for now. I mean, a pack of sexy alphas to mess around with, who wouldn’t want that?” She laughs. “But scent matches are powerful. Once you smell Calvin for the first time, everything will change. Your body will be linked to his, and you won’t want anyone but Calvin. The guys will be okay, you know? If they really love you, they will understand. They are strong guys. They’ll move on. They only want you to be happy. And don’t you want them to be happy too?”

She looks over at me, and I’m seconds away from wrapping my hands around her fucking neck.

I’m about to open my mouth to rip her a new one, not giving a single fuck where we are or who is around us when she opens her stupid mouth again. “Anyways, I just wanted to wish you the best of luck with Calvin. You're going to be so happy. I gotta go make sure the guys are taken care of.” She laughs. “They would be lost without me.”

She takes off, leaving me standing there, fists clenched, nostrils flaring and feral, feeling more like a feral omega than I’ve ever felt.

“You okay, Darling?” Calvin asks me, coming to join me.

“I don’t like her, Calvin,” I warn him. “Not one fucking bit.”

“What did she say?” he asks, brows furrowing as he looks over at where Gianna is laughing and talking with the fans, standing next to the guys like she’s part of the fucking band.

“She came over, congratulated us on being scent matched, and when I told her I was with the others too, she laughed it off and said once the bond was in place, I’d forget all about them. And if they loved me, they would move on and let me be happy. There's so many things wrong with what she said, and there's only so many times I can keep my mouth shut. I’m trying not to cause any issues, no more than I already have, but it’s hard. Has she always been this much of a bitch?”

“Not going to lie.” He sighs, lowering his voice. “I’ve never had a good feeling about her. She was hired by my dad. And for the most part, she knows what she’s doing, and she's good at it. But there’s just... something off about her. But she's wrong. When things happen between us, it won’t change how you feel about the others. What you have with them is too strong. They spent years looking for you, Jade. They wouldn’t go down without a fight, and even then, they would keep going until their dying breaths. Fuck, even then they would probably haunt your ass.”

That makes me chuckle, his words steeling me.

“She’s jealous, Jade. Because you're the one they want. The only one they’ve always wanted and could ever want. You're it for them. For me. She doesn’t matter. Don’t let her get into your head.”

I don’t want to, but it’s hard. The fact is, she knows them better now while I knew them better then. Knowing she spends so much time with them doesn’t make me feel any more at ease. I don’t like it.

The guys might want to be up my ass to make sure I’m safe, but I plan on doing the same to let the world know just who these alphas belong to. Me. And I don’t give a fuck what anyone else thinks.

Chapter 26

Everett

“Ilove our fans, I really fucking do, but I wanted nothing more than to leave that meet and greet and just be alone with Jade,” Zane grumbles as we head down for sound check.

Thankfully, Gianna didn’t fight Zane when he told her we refuse to have fans at the sound checks anymore while on this tour. It was too much. As much as we love our fans, two VIP meets in one night is just a lot. So, she had it switched to before the show.

“Where did she take off to anyway?” Griffin asks. “I saw her talking to Calvin. She looked pissed, and then they left.”

“I’ll kick his fucking ass if he did anything to upset her,” Zane growls.

“I’m sure she’s fine. I texted him to make sure she came to sound check. He replied back saying they were already there.”

“Good. I don’t know why Gianna started that bullshit with the fans coming to sound check. I enjoy just messing around and blowing off steam before a show. Having that kind of attention on us isn’t what we need,” Zane continues to complain as we head backstage.
