SAVIN
The next morning, I find myself bent over in an ice-cold shower, trying to weather the tremors running through my body. Macon and Ellie were still sleeping, his hips moving against her ass, her lips parted in ecstasy when I woke up uncomfortably hot. It was a wonderful scene to wake up to—one I hope has a repeat option—especially when my body decided that fire was the feeling for the day.
The cold water is doing wonders even if I know that my body heat is going to suffer for it. I sag against the tiles, breathing out a sigh as I push my hair out of my eyes. Goddess, last night was a whirlwind. From finding out that Ellie was pregnant with my twins to hearing her insecurities to knowing that this thing between us just might work.
There’s still lingering doubts and fear but I’m resolved to do whatever it takes to show Ellie that we’re serious.
Right after this shower.
Someone bursts in and I hold my breath, thinking that it’s Macon. I don’t want him to see that I’m in pain again but it’s not my Alpha. It’s Ellie as she rushes to the sink, the sound of her vomiting ringing through the bathroom. “Fuck, sorry, Savin. I just… ungh… morning sickness is a bitch.” She drapes herself over the counter, hands gripping the edge as she spits a few times and then turns on the faucet.
Silence filters in as the water continues to run, Ellie brushing her teeth furiously before venturing to the shower door.
“Mind if I join? I could use a little rinse after your Alpha unloaded in me like a billion times. I have cum dripping down my legs right now.” Ellie smiles at me, looking like a goddess with her frizzy curls and metal adorning her lips. Her tattoos wind around her arms and I narrowly miss the nasty scar on her side. I'm sure there's a story for it but I don't dwell on the lighter skin. Her smile disappears when she sticks her hand in and then immediately picks up on why it's cold. “Oh, Savin. How bad is it?”
“Fine right now. I’ll cool off soon and then-” I clamp my lips shut as my lids close. A wave of pain overtakes my senses and ability to talk as I stand there, breathing through it until it passes. “We can take a shower together,” I push out through gritted teeth.
“Absolutely not,” She snaps and I snort at her fierce tone. When I open my eyes, her expression is wild with a hint of disappointment that I would sacrifice my comfort for hers. “You don’t have to accommodate me. Let’s get you clean and dried off and then we can find out what Macon is making us for breakfast.” Ellie pulls a hairband from her wrist and piles her curls on top of her head before taking a step into the shower.
Something I immediately veto. I love her for her trying to take care of me but there are babies to think about. “It’s fine. If nothing else, it’s too cold for the babies. Just… I’ll be done in a few minutes.”
“Then I’ll wait and you can watch me shower afterward.”
There’s no room for argument as she moves to sit on the toilet. She raises an eyebrow in challenge as I grab the soap and run through a quick rinse before turning the knob to heat the water. When I step out onto the bath carpet, Ellie is right there with a towel. I can’t read her but she’s definitely not happy.
“I hate seeing you like this, Savin.” She huffs out a sigh as she dries off my hair with the towel before meeting my gaze. “Your lips are blue, baby.” Ellie leans forward for a kiss and I cherish it, my body drinking in her warmth rather than being repelled by it. She’s careful to keep her distance between us before handing me the towel. “My turn.”
I nod, watching her shimmy out of her shirt before stepping under the steamy spray. She’s a goddess as she shows off her beautiful curves, going so far as to cradle her belly, her eyes locked on mine through the glass. My cock responds before I can tell it we’re out of commission, a low groan tearing from my throat. “Hurry up, Ellie. If Macon finds you doing that, neither of us are getting breakfast.”
A laugh tumbles from her as she lathers up, still making a show of it. She plays with her pierced nipples, trying to entice me—into what, I’m not sure—but I quickly find my hand wrapped around my cock, the towel discarded. I shouldn’t but goddess, she’s too beautiful to pass up and Ellie did say that I could watch. With the bathroom door open, there’s enough cold air flowing through here that I can focus on her and find my pleasure.
I sit on the towel, legs spread wide as I stroke myself to completion. Ellie grins, moving to the edge of the glass as her fingers dip between her legs as well, swiping through her folds. Twin moans fill the bathroom as we watch each other, Ellie’s hips moving with her shallow thrusts until she’s shattering on her fingers, my own release following shortly after.
Fuck, I’m going to need another shower.
Chapter thirty-three
ELLIE
Chaste kisses and light touches happen throughout breakfast although my attention keeps getting pulled by Savin as I check on him. Macon drags me onto his lap as I chomp on what must be my fifteenth piece of bacon, an arm around me just below my chest, the other around my shoulders, casing me in against him.
“Stop staring, sweetheart.”
I growl around the bacon, “You didn’t see him! His lips were blue,” I whisper, trying not to draw Savin’s attention. The Omega has disappeared down the hall to change for a modeling shoot, one of which I’ve been invited to. I’m terrified and excited at the same time, unsure of what’s going to happen. I struggle in Macon’s arms, his lips against my ear silencing my protest.
“I did see him, sweetheart. I always see him. I also know that he doesn’t want me—want us—to worry. Finding ways to support Savin is hard but there are ways. For now, don’t stare. Don’t bring attention to his pain. Love him, nurture him, but don’t dwell on it.” Macon kisses my ear and then down my cheek to my jaw, drawing a breathy sigh from me. “You’ll notice when he’s at his limit and then you remove him from the situation. Otherwise, he will work himself to death to prove that he’s okay.”
My brows furrow as I twist around in Macon’s grip, meeting his eyes. “But why? Why is it so important to prove himself? He’s-” I bite my tongue before I say the one thing I desperately hate. He’s an Omega. Everyone should love and nurture him as most of society does. Just like I’m a Beta and society ignores me. If I break it down to our base designations, I’m no better than everyone outside this house.
Not to mention that Savin told me before that unless he’s on camera, he’s usually glossed over. He’s only as famous as his image or his Alpha.
I run my tongue along my lip rings, trying to find the right words but as usual, Macon helps me through my thought process. “It’s important because Savin feels like he’s failed. He used to be at the top of his game. He had his entire life ahead of him, not to mention a mate and a husband. And then his health took a turn for the worse. In any other occupation, his Omega status would be fawned over. In the entertainment business, many Omegas are seen as a liability. They have heats. They’re fragile. They’re full of emotion and while that’s not always the case, Savin is treated no differently. Invisible until needed.”
My heart goes out to Savin as I slip off Macon’s lap and stretch, sighing with relief when my back cracks. “That’s stupid. Savin is precious.”
“And that’s why we love you.” He stands as well, grabbing our plates to put in the dishwasher. “Do you need anything before you and Savin head out? His shoot is in an hour and fashionably late isn’t really a thing.”
“I mean… clothes.” I playfully point to the fact that I’m only dressed in his shirt, Macon turning around and chuckling at my attire. He steps up to me, wrapping his arms around my back before pressing his lips to my forehead. His morning scruff feels heavenly against my skin as I sink into his embrace. A few weeks ago I would have never entertained this much intimacy.
