Over the days, I found myself staring at him… admiring him. Sure, he was handsome as hell. But I was learning that my husband was an honest, true, and genuine man… at least from what I had seen so far. He was a good spirit. Even if his parents didn’t give a great first impression, I could only hope that he was this way because of how they raised him.
I prayed that, eventually, we could all be one big happy family. There were three types of families: the one you were born into, the one you found, and the one you married into. I didn’t want to have discourse in any of those. We only had two days left, and I wanted to spend them relaxing.
Today, we were going on a private day cruise. It was just us, and our meal was included along with a snorkeling experience. I’d gone through so many bikinis on this trip. Every time Jacob saw me in one, it was like the first time all over again. He got this big, goofy grin on his face, and his eyes trailed my frame from head to toe.
He had to turn me from side to side so he could observe me from every angle. I couldn’t lie and say that his attraction and appreciation of my body didn’t boost my ego. Every time he admired me, I blushed.
Today, I was wearing a sparkly bikini with hot pink trimmings, and matching thong sandals. Since we were going to be in the sun most of the day, I put on my oversized, woven hat. As I grabbed my beach bag and my cover-up, a smirk crossed my face. Forgoing putting the cover-up on right away, I decided to walk out front just as I was.
Jacob was standing at the sink, drinking a bottle of water and scrolling on his phone.
“You ready?” he asked without looking up.
“Yes. What do you think?”
He slipped his phone in his pocket and looked up as he went to take a sip of water. When he saw me, his eyes widened, and he gripped the bottle so hard that water went everywhere.
“Shit!” he exclaimed.
I laughed as he grabbed a towel to dry off with.
“You didn’t have to do me like that, babe,” he said, grinning.
“What did I do? I only asked what you thought of my bikini.”
I sauntered over to where he stood, dabbing his chest with the towel.
“You got me all wet,” he said, his eyes trailing me.
“It’s not the first time.”
He smirked as he lifted me from the floor and placed me on the countertop.
“You got jokes, huh?”
“I have facts. If I recall, I wet you up last night.”
“You did.”
He stepped between my legs and rested his hands on either side of me. Leaning in, he dropped a nasty kiss on my lips. Our tongues intertwined in a battle for dominance that I had no problem losing. His kisses had the power to make me submit to him every time. When our lips finally parted, he peered down at me.
“You look beautiful as always. I’m thinking we need a house with a pool so I can see you like this at home.”
I giggled. “I have a feeling if you had to see me like this all the time, that baby we were waiting on might come sooner rather than later.”
“You’re right, cause if I pull these bottoms to the side, I’m not letting up.”
I shook my head. “Are you ready to go, sir?”
“You’re asking like I wasn’t waiting on you.”
“Touché, touché.”
He lifted me from the counter and placed me back on my feet. I finally pulled my coverup on, much to his dismay. With bags in hand, we exited the villa and met our car out front. The ride to the boat dock only took about ten minutes. Hand in hand, we strolled down the docks to board the boat. The captain was waiting to greet us with a smile.
“Good morning! You must be Mr. and Mrs. Mitchell!”
He extended a hand to Jacob and shook it, then reached for mine and kissed it.
