“Yes, he did. Overall you’re clean from STDs and not pregnant, but you were missing key vitamins. He did say with proper nutrition that you’ll be on the way to healthy levels.”
“That explains the super-healthy, colorful meals.”
“That, and it’s not like there are many fast food places on the island.”
“I wish we could have spent more time together on the island.”
“Soon. I promise.”
We board the plane, and I sit her next to me. After another security check, we take off. Joey sits in the aisle across from us and further down. I want Giada all alone. The plane is Bykov’s and he let me use it. Learning that Giada was restless turned me into a caged tiger. I had to get to her before she did anything stupid.
My phone rings, and it’s my office. I have a conference call to take and Giada decides to nap. Once it’s over, I carry her back into the plane’s bed and cradle her in my arms. We had a long night of lovemaking that we’re both exhausted from.
I don’t realize that I fell asleep with her until Joey knocks. “We’re about to land.”
“Okay.” He nods and leaves us. “Wake up, beautiful. We have to take our seats.”
“Okay.” She yawns and stretches. God, I want her so badly that my cock throbs against my slacks. Helping her sit up, she wakes up a little more and then we finally make it to our seats.
“I’ll be leading us off the plane. Several of the guards are already waiting for us, and we’re entering a secure tarmac,” Joey informs us as we buckle ourselves in.
“Don’t be nervous.”
“You know this is the first time I’ve ever been on a plane that I was awake for?”
“Are you serious?”
“Yes, I was kept a prisoner my whole life.” She says it so nonchalantly that I almost think she’s kidding, but the look in her eyes says otherwise. It’s as if she’s reliving those shitty memories.
“Stop it. Stop whatever you’re thinking. Just stop it, Giada.”
“Sorry, Santino.” She looks at me with wonder in her eyes, and I can’t stop myself. Cupping her cheek, I take her mouth, kissing her until we’re both panting. I hear a grunt and see an eye roll from Joey. Flipping him off, I kiss her again. I could do this all damn day long. She’s everything and more to me. Once we get home, I’m going to verify the information from Bykov and then marry Giada myself.
The plane lands, and we deplane about fifteen minutes later when given the all clear. The thought of spending the rest of my life looking over my shoulder is unacceptable. Something had to give.
