“A while back. At the time, I told him I wasn’t interested, but he says the job is still open if I want it.”

“You would hate that job, and you know it. That’s why you said no when he first brought it up.”

“It’s not my first choice, but I enjoy community work. Sure, I’d miss fighting fires, but then you wouldn’t have to worry about me going to work every day.”

“Maybe not, but you would go to work every day, surrounded by people who were doing the job you loved while you did a job you didn’t even want. That’s not the answer.”

“But—”

“Daddy, you love being a firefighter. It’s in your blood. And if I believed for a minute that you wanted to take that job, I would be all for it. But you can’t do that to keep me from worrying. Hell, you could take that perfectly safe job and get hit by a bus crossing the street. There are no guarantees.”

“But this arsonist does increase the odds. Someone’s going to get hurt.”

“Of course I’ll still worry, but I have to trust you because what you do is important. And hopefully, your buddy Fox will do his job and catch the asshole before you’re back on a truck. But if not, you’ll know to be more careful, and you and my dad will have each other’s backs, just like this last time.”

“Are you sure, baby boy? I don’t want to put you through that again.”

“I’m sure. I would never want you to give up who you are for me. I love you just the way you are, and being a firefighter is a big part of that.”

He tugged on my hand, and I knew what he wanted, but I wasn’t sure it was a good idea. “What about your leg?”

“My leg is alright, Rabbit. Now get yourself over here.”

I rolled my eyes playfully. “Fine.” I got up and moved toward him, taking extra care to avoid his leg as I sat down in his lap. He wrapped his arms around me and let out a deep sigh.

“I love you, Caleb, and I don’t want to lose you. It’s true being a firefighter is in my blood, and I love it, but not more than I love you. If I had to choose, I would choose you every fucking time.”

“I know you would, Daddy, but you don’t have to choose. I’m not going anywhere.”

Chapter 33

Keith

A few weeks later, I woke up to the sensation of little butterfly kisses making their way across my chest and down my stomach. I opened my eyes to see my favorite thing, a very naked Caleb, on his knees between my legs.

“What are you doing, baby boy?” I asked in a gravely morning voice.

“Waking you up, Daddy. We have a lot to do today, so I thought we should get an early start.”

“Well, don’t let me stop you.” I laid back, put my hands behind my head, and let him have his fun. This wasn’t the first morning since he’d moved in that he woke me up with his mouth, and believe me, I wasn’t complaining. My boy loved giving blow jobs almost as much as I loved receiving them.

He grinned up at me and rolled his eyes because we both knew that wasn’t ever likely to happen. I might not be as smart as he was, but I wasn’t stupid enough to turn down a wake-up call like this one.

He placed both hands on my thighs and leaned forward, licking me from the base of my hard cock to the tip. He looked up at me with a grin and lapped up a drop of pre-cum before pulling it slowly into his mouth. “Hmm, Daddy, you taste so good.”

Then he took the head in his mouth and sucked. I bucked my hips up, and he wrapped his lips back around my shaft and took me down his throat to the root.

“Fuuck,” I groaned. He was so fucking good at this, and knowing that he was doing this as much for himself as for me was the sexiest thing ever. The muscles in his throat contracted around my cock as he swallowed.

The fact that I was the luckiest man in the world was the last thought I had before my brain stopped functioning as he began to move up and down my shaft, swallowing and sucking until my balls tightened.

“I’m going to come, baby boy,” I warned, and he hummed and took me deeper. My body tensed, and waves of pleasure moved through me as I shot down his throat.

When I finished, he crawled up my body and collapsed by my side. “Good morning, Daddy.”

“Good morning, Rabbit.”

Later that morning, I found myself back at Joe Gonzales Park for what could best be described as the consequences of my own actions coming back to bite me in the ass.
