Kye lowered until I could feel his presence between my legs. Hell, he could have created his own postcode down there. Then, with a stifled groan, he rolled over, shielding his erection from the group, before helping me to my feet.

“So, on the hour, every hour?” I teased, while everyone else started enjoying their entrees.

“If you like.”

“Oh,” I said, giving instead of receiving a kiss, “I like.”

By the end of dinner, Kye hadn’t needed to take any shots, but my panties were all kinds of ruined. Each time I lay down for Kye to do his push-ups, my arousal became more obvious. Then, we’d return to the table and I’d struggle to regain composure—even the ability to speak.

With Kye, I didn’t need words. For someone who’d never been a boyfriend, he’d been attentive, generous, and good conversation. A perfect boyfriend.

“Do you want to take the path back home, or go by the beach?” he asked as everyone started back to their villas.

We’d eaten, drunk and laughed until after midnight and now his arm had found a home around my shoulders, while my head had made its home snuggled against his chest.

This had to be a dream. I’d wake up, back in Sydney with my boring life. Instead, I was with a man who defined sex appeal, on a romantic island with eight other loved up couples now that Robbie and Luna had left. The vibes from tonight had been chilled and romantic. No one had fought—other than Leesa and Ryson who seemed to trade insults as often as Kye and I kissed.

“Beach? Let the others have the path.”

Kye nodded, leading the way up the beach with one arm still around my shoulder. It slowed our pace, but he didn’t seem to be in a hurry. I felt the anxiety rise. Tonight, I’d do more than kiss this man. I couldn’t remember the last time a man had seen me naked. Kye had to have seen hundreds of sexy women naked, and I felt conscious of all my flaws.

My breasts weren’t plump enough.

My eyes were too large for my face.

I didn’t have as much experience, sexually, as he’d be used to.

“Hey,” he said, noticing my inner turmoil, taking my hand in his spare and linking our fingers together. “Are you sure about tonight?”

“Yes,” I replied, on autopilot.

“I know what happened back at dinner was intense, but we don’t have to do anything you’re not ready for.”

“I know.”

“Yeah, I want to lie next to you. I want to wake up next to you, but what we do in between is up to you.”

“What is this, a negotiated surrender?” I tried to laugh, but it got caught in my throat. What if he’d changed his mind and dumped me? I’d never thought about the potential humiliation of a public rejection.

“I don’t want you to surrender anything to me, Elena. I want you to be in this as much as I am.”

I stopped. Kye silhouetted against the moon glistening off the ocean. “Why today? What happened today to change your mind about me?”

“Seriously?” he asked.

“Yes, seriously. I mean, up until today, you’ve been everywhere but with me.”

“Other than the kiss.”

“That first day?”

“Yes, don’t tell me you’ve forgotten our kiss on the first day.” Even in the moonlight, I could see the smirk. He’d taken control of the pairing, and it would probably be one of the click-bait ads for the series.

“Why did you do it? Why did you kiss me?”

“I don’t know,” he said, suddenly preferring to look out to sea than at me. “It was like all of these sexy gorgeous women are being thrown in the room, and then there’s you.”

“Thanks,” I shot back, sarcastically. Trying to hide the hurt. “You might as well have said, at least you’re not ugly.”
