“Then, I’ll have to inspire your imagination.

“Hey, mate,” Hunter greeted Kye with a fist pump and me with a grin. “Glad the two of you could get out of bed long enough to join us.”

“Bed?” Kye fist pumped Caleb and then Pete. “I wanted to shower and smell pretty for you guys.”

“Hey, girl,” Olivia sang, joining the group. “Glad you could finally make it.”

“Have you been taking lessons from your husband?”

“No.” Olivia cuddled in front of Hunter and I loved the natural way they fit together. She deserved her one true love—after her disastrous engagement. “But I didn’t know the wet-hair look is back in fashion.”

“Oh,” I said, embarrassed that my hair was still dripping after the shower. As soon as Kye had gotten dressed, I’d hurried him out the door. “I’ll send you an email, next time.”

“Or you could start to schedule your bonking time around important things, like spending time with friends.” Jess joined us.

“That’s my wife you’re talking to, I’ll have you treat her with some respect.”

“Don’t worry, Kye. We’ve got almost a decade to catch up on.” Jess laughed, finding me a bowling ball.

“A decade?”

“That’s how long since we’ve seen her happy. Wet hair, and all.”

Pete almost peed himself laughing.

Tash decided to capitalise on not being the worst player.

Kye?

Kye had given new meaning to the word, bad.

As for Hunter and Pete, they sat back and enjoyed their alpha male status.

I managed spares for the first four frames, but Kye had gutted four balls and picked off an average of three pins in the other frames.

“Oh, darling hubby,” I mused. “You’re in so much trouble.”

He reached over, grabbed my hips and planted me in his laps to the rolling eyes of my friends. At first, they’d thought our banter was all show. Slowly, they’d begun to understand our banter was foreplay.

“Well, maybe if you weren’t flaunting that cute little ass at me every five seconds, I could focus on the balls that matter.”

“Oh, Kye, your balls do matter, sweetheart. It’s just, I’ve got them in the palm of my hand right now.”

“Burn,” the guys chuckled. “She’s literally got you there, mate,” Hunter almost spat out his drink.

“How about we make this interesting?”

I twisted around, loving Kye’s hand on my thigh, inches way from my short shorts and the way he eye-fucked me in public.

“I’m listening.”

“You and me go head to head in a new game.”

“You think you can beat me?” I’d been playing down to support his ego.

“You got seventy over four frames.” Kye looked up at the screen. “That seems fairly average.”

“Oh, hubs, I’d hate to take your money. Joint property and all that.”
