“Gonna squeeze it out of me,” Kobi slurs, his head falling back on his shoulders. “Here it comes. Filling you up, omega.”

I’m a panting, moaning mess, small sobs falling from my lips at the first spray of warm cum inside me. I clench my muscles greedily. I want it all. I want his seed, and his knot, and the bruises he’s squeezed into my hips. And my body isn’t subtle about it, milking him until his arms are shaking and his long hair brushes my belly.

“So good, Cass,” River is whispering at my side, his gaze sliding from my face to my bulging pussy. “So full. You took him all, like the perfect omega.”

I wrap my arms as far around Kobi as I can reach, but Silva is easing us on to our side. I whimper, wanting to stay wedged between them, but Silva is now on high alert. “We’ve stopped again. You know what’s going on, River?”

I blink through the haze, but I can’t open my eyes all the way. Right now, I’m humming at the fullness of Kobi’s knot, and the warm gush of his seed. It’s finally taking the edge off the ache, and I don’t want anything to spoil it.

“Better not try to board us,” Kobi slurs and I burrow into his chest, breathing in his musk. I can smell a hint of tension in the air, but Kobi’s heavy arms around me make it clear that all I need to do is lie still and enjoy his knot.

But before I can sink into sleep, there’s a faint hissing sound, and the intercom crackles to life. “It’s Dan, our driver,” River says, and I crack my lids to watch him reach up and fiddle with the buttons on the wall.

“Sorry for the interruption,” a new voice says jarringly into the quiet, “but a guy just cut me off. He’s in a Jeep, but he’s getting out now and heading our way. Not to alarm you, but he’s a big alpha and he looks pretty pissed. Let me know if you want me to try talking to him, or just get around him.”

Oh, crap. Big, pissy guy in a Jeep probably fits a lot of people. But on an empty stretch of coastal road in the middle of the night?

“Sounds like Tom,” I croak, and since I’m plastered so tight to Kobi, I can feel his body tense. I stroke his chest and nuzzle his throat, instinctively trying to calm him. All I want to do is lick the thick vein in his neck, but I force myself to pull away. “Can you… unknot me?”

He gives an unhappy rumble. “You can’t go out there, Cass.”

Protective Kobi makes my thighs clench and I try to hide the whine in my voice. “It’ll be okay. Tom’s a friend, but I need to go talk to him.”

Before he storms the bus, but I don’t add that part. Kobi is already losing his happy buzz.

“Gonna take a minute,” he huffs, and River patiently relays a message to the driver. After a long, tense minute, his knot softens enough I can pull free. It feels deeply wrong to pull away, and the scowl on his face makes me bite my lip. I’m a bit shocked by the amount of slick and cum that comes out of me, but I love how his fingers trail over my back as I roll free.

Of course, it means there’s now a pretty big wet patch in the bed. Not to mention smeared across my back and dripping down my thighs. So, I grab a fresh blanket from under the bed to wrap around myself.

Kobi and River watch in silence as I test my legs, but Silva grabs my arm, his jaw pulsing. “I’m coming with you. He might be your friend, but he’s also an alpha and you’re in heat.”

“I know, but you don’t have to worry. Tom’s a medic. He’s seen this sort of thing before.”

Although, I’m not sure how he’s going to react seeing me in this state.

And Silva’s vivid green eyes seem to agree, raking over my body in a way that makes my toes curl. “I can promise you, sugar, whatever he’s seen, nothing is going to prepare him for you.”

Tom

Cass is going to be the death of me.

Middle of a shift where a bunch of drunk surfing fans ran their combi van into a tree and she called to tell me she was robbed. Didn’t check into the hotel I booked and couldn’t answer any of my fifty texts and messages because her phone was stolen, along with her backpack and VIP pass. But good news, she was on her way to Broome with a bunch of rockstars. On their tour bus, no less, because only healthy, responsible decisions are made in that environment.

I stewed for the rest of my shift, then called my mate for another favour. He immediately put a track on the phone she used, so I knew the identity of at least one of the guys she was with – River Ryder, keyboardist with The Sundowners. I know fuck all about him except that he’s an omega, and according to a quick Google search, considered one of the most beautiful men on the planet.

Fucking brilliant.

Not that Cass doesn’t deserve to hang out with beautiful, talented people. She’s an adult, she’s smart and capable, and she knows how to take care of herself. But she’s also been knocked sideways by this Stix Rain revelation, and even though she doesn’t like to show it, I know she’s hurting big time.

Tough, sassy Cass I can stand back and admire. But hurting, vulnerable Cass makes me want to put my fist through a wall.

I managed to talk myself off the ledge when I saw the phone tracker point in my direction. Somehow, she’s convinced her new buddies to head down south instead of up to Broome. Last thing I want is a bunch of high-maintenance musicians bringing their circus to my town, but if that’s the only way I get Cass back, I’ll live with it.

Right up until she texts me this shit from another random phone:

Seems I might be going into heat. Go figure. Will take care of it, but I need my last health report. Can you text it to this number? Thnx.

Another phone call to my mate, who’s racking up more favours than I like to think about, and I get a second name. And maybe a more important one, since she’s choosing to share her health history with him. Silva Sterling, drummer for the Scare Crew, based out of Los Angeles but with a penthouse in Melbourne. Another fucking pretty boy, according to Google, although this one is a beta, and just a loaner for the tribute concert. Why he’s still hanging out with the band is a mystery, especially since my mate hinted that The Sundowners might be on the way out.
