“I love vegan food, but I’m not vegan,” I said, once more like I was overexplaining. “It’s just full of protein.”

Oscar hugged an arm around my back. “That’s what I say, plus, it makes me feel like I’m eating clean,” he said. “After I’ve been abroad eating my weight in local food which is usually full of all calories.”

“Can I ask you a little bit of a personal question?”

“Sure. I don’t really have any secrets, so ask me anything,” he said.

I didn’t know how to word my thoughts, or whether they would come out as I intended. “I told you my reason for going to the gym, and I don’t want to trigger you or anything, but—”

“You wanna know why I go to the gym?” he asked, asking my question for me.

“Yeah, that, but also, because you’ve got much—much—or many muscles,” I said, prodding at his upper arm and the vein appearing out of it. “They’re so big and strong, like, I can’t imagine you need to use them a lot in the air.”

“Have you tried closing the door on an airplane?”

“No, but like, I’ve seen videos of people closing them. It doesn’t seem hard,” I said, teasing him and his big muscles. “I guess even I could close one of those doors.”

Oscar flexed his muscles as I continued to prod them. “You probably could, actually. Maybe with a couple more bench press reps. But I don’t think you need too much more muscle growth on your arms. I like them this way.”

If I wasn’t all full up on tacos, I might’ve been eager to slip a hand down his shorts and bounce on his cock. But we’d done enough of that today for two people who’d only just met. “Is it so you can cuff me to your bed and treat me the way I mentioned from that porn I told you about?”

“Absolutely. In fact, I think with my current work schedule, I could be back every other day to check in on you,” he said, joking. I wasn’t currently opposed to it, but that was because I was under the spell of his dick, and I was just a boy with a hungry hole. He pulled me in close, squeezing me in an embrace. “But I don’t know how I’d explain you to Sam, and I wouldn’t want to put you through listening to Sam and his boyfriend.”

I turned my head to him and kissed his cheek. “I’ve only ever been out of the country once. I went to Mexico, but other than that, I feel like I’m just stuck in the city now.”

“Not even to Argentina?”

“I wish, but all my mom’s family moved here.”

“That shouldn’t stop you. I’ve been all over South America,” he said. “Many hot guys there.”

“Oh, that’s one reason, I guess.”

“Many hot guys here too, in my apartment.”

“One,” I counted him.

“Two,” he counted me, placing his finger on the tip of my nose.

“There are only two guys in the apartment,” I said, looking around.

He couldn’t pull me any closer. “So, you wanna play some more or do you wanna watch a movie, or we can go to bed?”

“One more game, winner picks the movie, and then bed,” I said.

“Also, if I’m coming on too strong, just know that I can be less strong,” he said. “No strings and all that.”

“I’ve never done no strings,” I said. “But this is the first time I’ve been intimate with someone like this in a while, and I—I’m enjoying it. It feels like I’m playing a role.”

“Roleplay, if you will,” he said. “What role are you playing?”

My mouth seized up, trying my best to operate my brain and bodily functions all at the same time. “Um—I—I—”

“I don’t think you’re playing a role at all. I think you’re into all this coupley stuff.”

And there it was. He called me out, but I couldn’t be blamed for thinking it. Oscar was doing all the things that would happen in a couple. He was touching me, pulling me close. He complimented me, asked me questions, and he even bought food. I was even on his T-shirt. If he proposed marriage to me right now, I might’ve been so blinded by all these actions to accept. Making it the fastest proposal in history I’d imagine.

“Maybe I am into this coupley stuff,” I said.
