I pull out the clothes I’m wearing tonight. I put on a red lace bra one piece. It makes my tits look amazing. The red color in contrast to my skin tone is perfect for what Autumn and I have planned.
I’m dressing as the ‘devil’ and Autumn’s wearing white, dressing as the ‘angel.’ I have black skinny high-waisted jeans that are ripped at the knees, and red strap heels. I put on the necklaces my mom gave me, then add some rose gold rings that sit at the tip of my middle fingers.
My nails are stiletto-shaped, with matte black on all fingers except the middle, where just the tips are black. I wear bangles on my right wrist and a smartwatch on the left.
As I’m finishing the final touches, I hear a knock on the door.
“Come in.”
Autumn pops in and she smiles brightly at me. I love her bangs and the added silver. I’m putting on my hoops right as Rocky walks in with a can of ginger ale and does a double take. My sweet boyfriend.
“Fuck. Me.” Then he looks at Autumn and I swear he’s about to have a stroke when he adds, “Autumn, you look very beautiful, but abso-fucking-lutely not. Go change.”
Autumn and I look at each other and start laughing. We look back at him and realize he’s not playing.
She walks up to him and crosses her arms. “No, I look good.” She lifts her chin.
“That’s my girl! Yes, you do.” I clap my hands, then put my hand on my cocked hip and arch my eyebrow at him.
“It’s not that you don’t look beautiful Autumn”—he sighs, yet continues on— “God, why couldn’t have mom and dad had another boy? I swear its like y’all want me to end up in jail.” He shakes his head and hands me the soda and kisses me on the cheek.
He’s walking out, groaning, when he looks back at us and gives us his best glare before he leaves. We burst out laughing again. We take a selfie and post it on Instagram.
As soon as we descend the stairs, Rocky’s there with Xander and Talon. I smirk at Talon because his eyes are fixated on the beautiful birthday girl walking beside me. He’s wearing a smug grin, looking like he wants to eat her cake, if you know what I mean.
Karissa and Chris come out of the kitchen to see us, and Chris looks at Talon and smacks him across the head.
“Close your mouth, son, I see a little drool.” He chuckles.
“My girls, you both look beautiful.”
“I still wish I had a brother,” Rocky grumbles.
“Oh, stop it,” Karissa says as she slaps Rocky's chest playfully.
I have my Polaroid camera in my hand and Karissa takes it, smiles at me and says, “She would have loved seeing you so happy, baby. I know she’s proud of you.”
I have tears in my eyes, and I look up to the ceiling and try to stop them from falling down. I sniff and dab at my eye.
“Will you take a picture of us?”
“Of course! Everyone get together and smile!”
I stand in front of Rocky and he brings both arms over my shoulders, I look up at him and he smiles, kissing my forehead. I look over to the others; Autumn is standing between Talon and Xander with her arms around the both of them. We smile and she takes the picture.
Talon takes my Jeep and I get into the car with Rocky. We head out for a fun night of great food, amazing company and a fun trolly tour.

I don’t know if Montana’s a good influence on Autumn or a bad one. I know it’s a double standard for me to love Montana in the same clothing that my sister wears. The difference is that Autumn is my little sister. I swear they’re both trying to kill me.
I begged for a brother, but as a kid I didn’t care about not being able to choose. When she was born, I begged my parents not to have another girl because there was only so much I could do for one let alone two.
Being a big brother to a sister is not for the faint of heart. I failed her once. I won't do it again. I would rather cut my throwing hand off than see my sister in that kind of pain again. I’m glad that Xander and Talon will be here with her next year. I won't ever be far, but in case she needs someone right away, they’ll be right there.
The restaurant that Montana chose is beautiful. It has a patio that sits right on the water, and there's a pergola with plants all around and white twinkling lights. Since it's October, there are heaters set up all around, and there is also a fireplace outside. The red brick of the building has vines crawling up and is just the kind of place these girls love.
