Drew’s eyes seemed to spark with the same desire Zach was feeling, along with a flash of something that seemed a whole fucking lot like love but couldn’t be because it was too soon, right? And Zach didn’t know what the hell love looked like anyway, but god, why was staring into Drew’s eyes almost like looking at a reflection of what he could feel pulsing so strongly in his heart?

Zach spread his legs wider, giving Drew room to settle between them. And when their hips came into contact, Drew’s erection pressing so fucking amazingly into his own, all Zach could do was moan.

“Ahh, Zach... god, you feel so good.” Drew’s voice was hoarse, guttural, and it sent a warm shiver down Zach’s spine.

Drew rested his forehead against Zach’s and closed his eyes, almost as though he couldn’t handle both the intensity of the moment and the weight of Zach’s gaze at the same time. And damn, Zach understood. The same emotions were overwhelming him as well. He closed his eyes too, trying to let the fierceness of the feeling fade and flow over them, but it only seemed to grow stronger. Then he whimpered, or maybe it’d been Drew, and he reached up to frame Drew’s face, desperate to kiss him.

Zach tugged Drew the mere millimeters left between their lips and captured Drew’s mouth. Their kisses were hot and wet and indistinct, maybe not even hitting their mark. But it didn’t matter, Drew was panting and gasping just as much as Zach was, and when Drew’s hips started rocking against Zach, it was—god, oh god—it was too much and not enough all at once.

But he needed air, and so he pulled away reluctantly, panting for breath as he wrapped his arms around Drew. Drew buried his head in the crook of Zach’s neck, his breath hot and unsteady against Zach’s chest, and Zach heard a quiet moan from Drew as he felt Drew’s dick throb against his own.

Fuck, it was erotic, but it was so much more than that too.

“Why does this feel so right and so...” Zach brushed an open-mouthed kiss against Drew’s neck. “It’s so fast. Is it too fast? Oh god, why am I overthinking this? Tell me not to overthink this.” Zach shifted, moaning, and he put a hand up to cup Drew’s face, gently urging Drew to meet his eyes.

God, he wasn’t even sure if it was a question or a plea or what, but what he found in Drew’s eyes seemed to be the answer—the same hint of uncertainty but oh so overshadowed by this profound sense of belonging and... god, maybe it was love.

But that was definitely too much too fast. Right?

Drew let out a trembling breath before dipping down for a brief kiss. “Don’t overthink this,” he said, his voice rough. “I don’t wanna think right now, I just want to feel.”

Chapter Eleven

Drew

Underneath him, Drew felt Zach let out a shuddering breath. Oh god, it was all so real, so real and definitely not a dream because he’d never had a dream so good, so right...

Drew let himself get lost in Zach’s eyes for the millionth time, and he tried to commit to memory the way everything felt as he caressed Zach’s cheek with the pad of his thumb. The warmth of his skin and the slight stubble and the way that Zach was looking back up at him like he was the only person in the world that mattered—everything was so perfect. And though it seemed ridiculous to even think it, Drew felt like he was even more in love, even more attracted to Zach than he had been earlier.

At that moment, he didn’t even care if this was all a dream—if it wasn’t real, he didn’t want to know. His arousal was twitching insistently, pressed so achingly wonderfully against Zach’s erection. God, was this desire or love or... everything?

Neither of them had spoken for several long seconds, Zach with his quickened breaths and endless blue eyes and Drew feeling the zing and warmth and fire of whatever was going on in his body besides straight-up sexual desire. Something deep in his heart was telling him all sorts of beautiful stories, happily ever afters he hadn’t even dared to dream of.

Drew was flooded with a sense of absolute belonging, his heart feeling like it was overflowing. This man right here, he was just...

“You’re so perfect,” Drew murmured. “I... really, really like you, Zach.”

Zach’s breath seemed to hitch. He let out a huff, and his cheeks flushed, turning just a shade darker as his gaze dipped for a second.

“I really, really like you too,” Zach said in a low whisper that sounded husky but with that slight edge of now-familiar anxiousness. “It—it feels right, right? Part of me wants to explain it, to figure it out, but most of me, most of me wants to just feel it. Like—like... ah, shit. You already told me not to overthink. I’m—I’m gonna shut up now. I think you might need to kiss me to—”

Drew dipped down to crush his lips against Zach’s, capturing them over and over again. He tasted and explored, savoring the wet heat of Zach’s mouth and the way his whole body seemed to respond. Tingling and warm and even more aroused. After a moment, he pulled back slightly and grinned down at Zach, and the sight of Zach’s matching grin, his eyes half-open, his expression relaxed and happy, sent another pulse of arousal through him, making his dick twitch with want.

“I like this method of shutting up my brain,” Zach said, sounding a bit breathless. “Very, very effective. You think we can try it on the flight to Dallas?”

“Mm-hmm.” Drew dipped in for a quick kiss. “Though, I’m not entirely certain it was effective, given we’re still, you know, talking,” he teased as he pressed his hips into Zach’s, eliciting a moan and then a breathy laugh.

“I said effective for shutting up my brain. You might have to keep kissing me or—” Zach moaned again as Drew rocked against him again. “Ahh, god, yeah—more than kiss me? To—to keep testing the—the— Oh god, that’s good,” Zach rasped. “What was I saying?”

Drew smiled as he dipped down and pressed a light kiss to Zach’s lips, then lifted his head so he could look down at Zach again. “I think you were saying that I have to kiss you for science?”

Zach grinned again and nodded, his hands suddenly at Drew’s waist and tugging him closer. “For science. Mm-hmm.”

Drew held Zach’s gaze for a moment longer, though he could feel the buildup of this desperate need for more pressure and friction as his hips rocked a slow-paced rhythm against Zach. His breath started coming in short pants, and he lowered himself down to rest on his forearms, his body now flush against Zach’s. His lips found that amazing spot on Zach’s neck, a dip and curve just above his collarbone, and Drew’s hips kept their pace, still rocking slowly even though the burn of desire had increased substantially.

“Ah, goddd,” Zach moaned. “You feel so good.”

“Mmm.” Drew’s lips hummed against Zach’s skin. “You too. So good.”
