“It’s taken care of,” Rex assured her, his smile widening. “I spoke to Maggie, and she’s very excited for you to go with me. Besides, all’s fair in love and war, right?”

There was a pause on the other end of the line, and Rex could almost see Kira’s mind working, weighing her options. Finally, she sighed, a hint of amusement in her voice. “Fine, you win. When do we leave?”

“I’ll pick you up in an hour,” Rex said, his heart soaring with triumph. “And Kira? Dress comfortably.”

An hour later, Rex stood at Kira’s door, his anticipation building with each passing second. When she opened the door, he grinned and said, “Grab your passport and my hand. I can make good girls bad for the weekend.”

Kira laughed, shaking her head as she stepped out, her overnight bag slung over her shoulder. “I’m not sure if I should be excited or worried,” she teased, taking his hand.

As they settled into their seats on Rex’s private jet, Kira’s curiosity got the better of her. “So, where are we going?” she asked, her eyes sparkling with excitement.

Rex chuckled, enjoying the suspense. “It’s a surprise, remember? You’ll find out soon enough.”

The flight to Vancouver was filled with easy conversation and stolen glances, the attraction between them simmering just beneath the surface. When they finally arrived at the Four Seasons, Kira’s eyes widened at the opulence of the penthouse suite.

“Rex, this is... incredible,” she breathed, taking in the stunning view of the city skyline.

“Just wait until you see what’s in the bedroom,” Rex said, his voice low and filled with promise.

Kira raised an eyebrow, a playful smirk on her lips. “Oh? And what might that be?”

Rex led her to the bedroom, his heart pounding in his chest as he watched her reaction. Kira gasped, her hands flying to her mouth as she took in the sight of the lilac Versace crystal-embroidered bodysuit, matching mini skirt, blazer, and glitter knee-high boots laid out on the bed.

“No. Shut up. You’re kidding,” Kira said, her voice filled with disbelief. “Are you pranking me? Is this a joke?”

Rex laughed, shaking his head. “It’s not a joke, Kira. We’re going to see Taylor Swift in concert tonight.”

Kira screamed with joy, launching herself into Rex’s arms. He caught her, spinning her around as he savored the feeling of her body pressed against his. “I can’t believe you did this,” she said, her eyes shining with happiness.

“I’d do anything to see you smile like that,” Rex murmured, brushing a strand of hair from her face.

As they sat in the dimly lit, upscale restaurant, the soft glow of candles casting a warm ambiance over their table, Kira spoke about her love for Taylor Swift. Rex watched her, captivated by the way her eyes sparkled with enthusiasm as she shared her stories.

“It’s all Maggie’s fault, really,” Kira said with a laugh, her fingers absently playing with the stem of her wine glass. “She was obsessed with Taylor’s music and would constantly play it at home. At first, I resisted, but eventually, I found myself humming along to the catchy tunes.”

Rex leaned in, his eyes never leaving Kira’s face. “And now? Which albums have captured your heart?”

Kira smiled, a wistful expression on her face. “1989 and Lover, without a doubt. There’s just something about the way Taylor captures the essence of love, heartbreak, and self-discovery in those albums that resonates with me.”

“Do you have any all-time favorite songs?” Rex asked, genuinely interested in learning more about the woman who had stolen his heart.

“Oh, absolutely!” Kira exclaimed, her eyes lighting up. “Lover, Bad Blood, Shake it Off, and Blank Space are my go-to songs when I need a pick-me-up or just want to sing along at the top of my lungs.”

Rex chuckled, imagining Kira dancing around her apartment, belting out the lyrics. He committed every detail of this moment to memory, from the way her hair fell softly around her face to the melodic sound of her laughter. He wanted to know everything about her, to unravel the mysteries of her heart and soul, layer by layer.

As they finished their meal, Rex couldn’t help but feel a sense of anticipation for the concert ahead. He had pulled out all the stops, securing VIP front-row seats to ensure they would have the best possible experience.

When they arrived at the venue, the energy was electric. Fans buzzed with excitement, their chatter filling the air. Kira practically vibrated with enthusiasm, her eyes wide as she took in the scene.

Rex led her to their seats, his hand resting gently on the small of her back. Before the concert started, he reached into his pocket and pulled out several friendship bracelets, each one adorned with glittering charms.

“Here,” he said, taking Kira’s wrist and carefully fastening the bracelets around it. “I thought these would be a fun addition to your concert outfit.”

Kira watched him, a mixture of surprise and amusement on her face. As he finished securing the bracelets, she glanced down at his own wrist, noticing the matching set he wore.

“Rex Stone, I never took you for a guy who’d wear friendship bracelets,” she teased, her eyes sparkling with mirth.

Rex looked up at her, his gaze intense and sincere. “For you, Kira, I’ll do anything,” he said, his voice low.
