Kiki runs up to me barking in happiness at seeing me. I scoop her up, “Where is your bad daddy at?”

“Right here waiting on his sleepy head wife.” Comes from the living room.

I round the corner to find him on the couch with his legs out and his laptop open. “If there are any more jewelry gifts today, I’m handing this one back to you and you can save it for Christmas.”

He shakes his head. “There’s one more jewelry gift. You give it back to me and no orgasms for a week.” Outrage at his threat keeps me from arguing, he sees it, knows it, and his grin is wicked. “Come on, lazybones, we have time for you to open one last gift before we have to leave or we’re going to be late.”

“Late for what?” Both Kiki and I pout when Sandro takes her from me and puts her in her kennel.

“It’s a surprise.” He says it as if it were obvious. His hand at my back is urging me forward.

I go as commanded, curious about this surprise. In the kitchen my gift is another cool teapot, this one is a dragon holding the pot.

He laughs. “You like it better than the jewelry.” It’s not a question.

“Better than the bracelet.” I admit.

“Duly noted.” Is all he says before he’s urging me to the elevator.

The elevator goes all the way down to the parking garage. I’m guessing the drive takes five minutes, maybe less. We’re at the only other hotel on the strip nicer than Sandro’s.

I’m impressed as we step inside. It doesn’t matter we walk in behind a dozen people, a man in black suit is in front of us. “Mr. Leonetti, and your wife?”

“Yes, my wife. The concert is for her.” Sandro answers as he shakes the man’s hand. “As I called a few minutes ago, we will need brunch brought to our seats.”

“Yes, sir. Now that you’re here, I’ll have the order prepared. Please follow me.” He lifts a walkie talkie and reels off instructions, one of those is to inform the one-named singer we’re here.

“Sandro? Seriously?” He caught me dancing around my office to a mix of my favorite songs of hers.

“Good surprise?” A corner of his mouth tips up.

“Best surprise.” I nod.

I’d heard she was doing a residency here in Vegas but hadn’t even thought to ask Sandro if I could see her. It felt wrong with her at a different hotel.

We enter the theater, it’s larger than the one at Sandro’s hotel and it was built for her. And it’s completely empty. I stop in surprise. “Where is everyone?’

The hand at my back urges me forward. “This concert is just for you.”

“Just for me?” I don’t even want to guess what this cost. So I don’t.

After the amazing concert that ends with her taking pictures with us and her gifting me a few signed items and wishing me a happy birthday we’re back in the car.

I assume we’re going back to the hotel, we don’t. This time the drive is a lot longer. We arrive at a tiny airport north of Vegas.

“Where are we going?” I ask as we get out of the car.

“Chicago, for dinner with your sister.”

He so gets me. “Thank you.”

“You’re welcome. We have a three hour flight.” Sandro smiles down at me as he guides me into the back of the plane.

“However will we pass the time?” I blink my eyes wide as I open the dress.

He really likes what he finds under my dress—a lot.
