“You really shouldn’t have,” Ava mummers.

“Oh, yes, I should have,” I chuckle. Taking the item out of the box, I hold it in my closed hand for a moment. “Now, all of this...” I wave to the other gifts. “They are optional for tonight. But this?” I hold my hand out and open my fingers to reveal something pink and the size of my palm. “This is non-negotiable. I want you to wear this to dinner.”

“What is it?” she asks as she examines it.

“A vibrator.”

Her eyes snap up to mine. “W-what? You want me to wear that? To dinner? Tasha will be there.”

“I know.” I nod. “I want to see just how good of a girl you can be. And the best part...” I lean in, placing the vibrator in her hand as I bring my lips to her ear. “You will never know when I’m going to turn it on. I have an app on my phone that controls it. Be a good girl, do as I say, and I’ll leave it off.”

Taking her earlobe into my mouth, I give it a little nibble, loving the shiver that wracks her body.

“Do you understand me, Princess?”

“Yes, Sir,” she whimpers.

“Good girl.” She shivers again at my praise, and I fucking love it.

Ava finishes the rest of her food before taking the clothes I gave her and changing.

“Fucking hell, Princess.” I groan as she stands before me in my clothes.

“What?” she asks, looking herself over before looking back up at me. “Do I look bad?”

“You could never look bad—in anything, even a fucking paper sack,” I growl. “But this? Are you sure you have to go into work? Because I’m three seconds away from bending you over this table and fucking you until you’re screaming my name.”

Her eyes flare with heat as she giggles. “I do, unfortunately. But I’m glad you approve of my outfit.”

She grabs everything I gave her, and I walk her to the door. “Are you sure I can’t walk you to your car?”

“I’m okay.” She smiles up at me. “A place like this has eyes everywhere.”

I nod and give her a lingering kiss goodbye. “See you tonight, Princess. And remember, be a good girl and do as you’re told.”

“Yes, Sir.” She swallows. I watch her walk down the hall and step into the elevator. As the door shuts, she gives me a shy smile and waves goodbye.

I wave back and watch as the doors shut, taking a piece of my heart with it.

Chapter 9

Ava

I can’t stop staring at myself in the mirror. Never in my life have I felt this... beautiful. My hands glide over the soft velvet of the dress, down my stomach, and over my hips. I’ve never worn a dress where the slit goes this far up. What if I move the wrong way and end up flashing everyone?

My long blonde curls cascade down over my shoulders, covering the slight cleavage that’s on display. Thoughts of what Roman is going to think when he sees me fill my mind, and I smile.

I really hope he likes how I look.

When he gave me everything today, the first thing I wanted to do was turn it all down. But the look in his eyes told me he enjoyed spoiling me. With anyone else, I would have said no thank you. But when I’m with Roman, I’m someone else. Someone free of any stress or worries that typically come with living in the real world. I’m someone who can enjoy myself, my body, and the feeling of letting go. So, if Roman wants to spoil me, I guess I can let him, just this one time.

My fingers brush along the pearl necklace while the other hand plays with the earrings. If I were to come into possession of something of this value a few weeks ago, I would have pawned it all. I can’t even imagine the worth of everything I’m wearing.

“Ava, hurry up! Our driver is going to be here in fifteen minutes,” Tasha shouts from the living room.

“Shit,” I mutter, my eyes darting to the last thing I need to put on.

I still can’t believe he asked me to wear a remote-controlled vibrator. To a dinner with his daughter, nonetheless.
