His black eyes had a flicker of red in them, but before I could study them, he brought my face down to his. He thrust his tongue into my mouth as his cock continued to blast his cum inside of me. I moaned into his mouth, and he slowed his kiss down until he tugged my lip with his teeth and sucked on it.

“Good girl, now go back to sleep,” he said once he released my lip.

If I had the energy, I would have punched him in the face.

He let me out of the playroom on the sixth day. I took a long, relaxing soak in the bathroom upstairs. Seeing the sunshine and beauty of the island around me while bathing lightened my mood. He was one intense mother fucker while he was in breeding mode. My cheeks flushed with embarrassment as I remembered the filthy words we had exchanged. I shook my head and decided I needed to get some clothes on and go outside.

I swiped through hanger after hanger until I found a beautiful short summery dress. A floral design ran diagonally from the breast to the thigh, but the top part of the dress was white, and the lower section was black. The red, white and grey floral pattern stood out. The most important reason I selected it was because it was light and airy. After being naked for six days in his dick-of-doom room, I didn't want to wear anything restrictive. I found beautiful slip-on flat sandals that had tiny sparkling diamantés on the design and ran between my toes.

I bent down to have a look at all the other shoes and noticed there were still packages of clothing that hadn't been hung up. Alaric must have gone overboard in shopping. When the faint scent of coffee hit me, a reluctant smile spread across my lips. The vampire had learnt to cater to a lowly human’s needs, but I appreciated his attention to detail when he massaged, bathed and fed me. As rough as he was with me, I loved the stark contrast between his monstrous and caring sides.

By the time I went downstairs, Alaric was still in the kitchen, but his back was leaning against the sink.

“You took your time in the bath,” he said, eyeing me up.

I quickly raised my hand up.

“Don't even think about it. I need to sleep for two whole days to recover,” I said, rubbing my forehead as I felt a headache brewing.

“Recover from what?” he asked with a smug look on his face.

I was about to go into a rant, but he uncovered a plate from behind him, and I could see the salad, avocado and poached eggs on top.

I walked closer and noticed he had topped it with some red powder, dried herbs and sesame seeds.

“I added some spring onions this time,” he said as he snuck his arm around my waist.

“Oh, wow. This looks amazing,” I said, genuinely impressed, considering the fact that he had never cooked anything in our modern times. He told me he had cooked animals over a fire many years ago, but it was out of curiosity to taste human food.

“Go sit outside. I will bring you your coffee,” he said, handing me the plate.

“Thank you,” I said happily before I practically skipped outside.

I felt ravenous, and the aroma of the food was so appetising. Half of the toast was demolished by the time he came out with a pot of coffee and a cup. I was about to pick up the other half when he touched my wrist to stop me. I looked up at him in surprise, but then I saw what he had in his hand.

It was a gold and diamond collar around one centimetre thick with some patterns on it. There was a bright miniature lock on it in a heart shape that shone compared to the rest of the necklace. I frowned because I etched beside the floral design. There were ancient Greek letters on it, but Alaric opened the lock and placed it around my neck before I could decipher the letters.

My eyes widened because he’d removed my black leather collar this morning. He hadn't freed me from my submissive position but upgraded it. I turned around on the patio sofa so he could snap the lock in place. I touched the gold necklace because it was pretty and didn't make me feel like a dog.

“My blood mate deserves only the best,” he murmured, rubbing his cheek against my face. He pushed my hair back and began to kiss my neck, sending a shiver down my spine.

He chuckled and kissed my cheek before moving back.

“Eat up,” he said.

I kept my fingers on the necklace before I turned towards him.

“What does it say, Master?” I asked.

He leaned back in his chair and stretched his legs before crossing them at the ankles. I wondered how he was tanned for a vampire. Then again, his brothers were dark, too.

“Property of Alaric,” he said, glancing over at me and expecting me to say something.

I ignored him and turned my attention to my food. I was grateful to be out of the dog collar, but I wouldn't thank him for my new pretty version of another one strapped to my neck.
