Page 54 of Daddy's Reckoning
Breathlessly, I nodded, gulping for air as his cock milked my pussy, filling me with him. With Theo. With Daddy. With the man I loved. The man I was going to stop running from.
“Say it, babygirl. Say you’re mine. Say you love me. Say you’ll stop running. Say you’ll marry me. Say it.”
His cock attacked my g-spot, and my eyes rolled back in my head as he gave his passionate speech.
“Yes! Yes! Yes!” It wasn’t just a cry of pleasure, it was the cry of my heart and soul. Tears sprang to my eyes and my lips found Theo’s while my arms wrapped around his neck. “Yes, to everything,” I whispered, before kissing him deeply.
THEO
She came at the exact same time she accepted my proposal, and I rolled off her, stunned. I hadn’t even known I was going to say all that, and once I did, I had no idea she’d actually accept.
Maybe she’d just been too caught up in the moment. I know I was.
Pulling her close, I forced myself to give her an out. “You said you’d marry me… I…uh… Was that real? Cause if you were just caught up in the passion, tell me now.” The words tasted like sawdust in my mouth, but watching her go forward out of obligation to words she’d uttered in the heat of the moment would taste worse.
She giggled and rolled over in my arms so that she was facing me. Her smile looked genuine, and her eyes were misty as she reached up to lay her hand on my cheek. “Weren’t expecting that, were you?”
“No. No, I wasn’t.” I waited a beat and asked, “Did you mean it?”
She sighed. “Theo, I’m sorry I’ve been so difficult. I was scared. That misunderstanding we had set us way back, and you know how hard it is for me to trust things. When you said you wanted to be with me, I thought it was just because of the baby. I thought if I got my hopes up that it wasn’t, you’d break my heart. So I tried to push you away. I thought you’d be relieved. But you weren’t. And you just kept showing up for me in ways I didn’t even know I needed. Beyond my wildest expectations. And finally, I had to face facts. I love you. You understand me better than anyone ever has. And I would be an idiot not to trust in that. If I kept being stubborn, I’d risk losing the absolute best thing that ever happened to me. But if I just jumped in, I could finally have the life I want and the family I never had.”
“Say it again.” I swallowed hard, trying to control my emotions as I placed a hand on either side of her face.
She scrunched her nose and tilted her head. “Like… all of it? Or… which part?”
“The love part. Say it again. On its own, so I can really savor it.”
“I love you, Theo Montgomery”
I could see the emotion in her eyes before she spoke the words, and I knew it was real.
“I love you, too, Erin Neilson”
“Theo Montgomery,” she whispered, her eyes shining, “I want to be Erin Montgomery. As soon as possible. I love you. I want to marry you and I want to have your last name as soon as possible. A last name that reminds me how very loved I am, and that the best things in life are already mine.”
My heart swelled with happiness, my eyes welled with unshed tears. I couldn’t even speak, I was so elated and choked up. I brought my lips down on hers and kissed her softly, slowly, passionately. The kiss of a million promises. When I finally pulled away, my voice was husky and low as I whispered, “Whatever you want. As soon as possible. Let’s do this thing.”
EPILOGUE
TWO WEEKS LATER
ERIN
“I, Erin Michelle Nielsen, take you, Theo James Montgomery, to be my lawfully wedded husband. For better or worse, for richer or poorer, in sickness and health, ‘til death do us part.” My chest was tight with emotion as I spoke the traditional vows in the courthouse, dressed in the only white dress in town that would accommodate my growing belly, and looked down at the ring he slipped on my hand as he mirrored my vows.
“Well, then, by the powers vested in me by the state of Pennsylvania, I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss your bride.”
The judge had not even stopped speaking before Theo, my husband, wrapped his arms around me and pulled me in for a kiss that made my toes curl and my pussy weep, despite the fact that we’d gotten busy just before we came here today.
“Well, okay, then.” The judge chuckled as Theo broke the kiss, his eyes sparkling as he took my hand and led me from the room.
“You’re sure this was okay?” I asked as we exited the small courtroom. With my blood pressure finally under control, it had been my idea to get married on a whim on a random Monday.
Theo side-eyed me. “I’m sure. And if I wasn’t, it’s a little late for me to say so now, isn’t it?” He scooped me into his arms bridal-style as we made our way out the doors to his car, where he sat me in the passenger seat and buckled me in.
“I feel bad, because I just realized your family and friends are probably going to be upset. I’m sure they would have wanted to see your wedding. I just didn’t want to wait a second longer to be your wife.”
He shrugged, like his close relationships were of no consequence. “We can have a reception later. And yes, my mom and sisters might be a tad upset, but they’ll get over it.”
