Page 76 of Against the Clock
My entire body’s completely keyed up, some primitive cavewoman part of my brain delighting in the fact that Daniel’s strong enough to hold me up and fuck me against the wall. It feels like heaven, the angle he’s pumping into me hitting everything just right, and it’s all I can do to hold on as he slams against me.
“Feels so good,” he says, his voice rough.
My legs are shaking again and my head tips back. His hand catches it, cradling it, as his hips continue to drive into me, filling me.
“So good,” I echo.
His hand moves from the back of my head, circling around my throat, and my eyes go wide.
“Too much?” he whispers.
I kiss him hard, biting his lower lip, and he groans into my mouth.
“I like it,” I tell him, and I do. My orgasm is right within reach, and I don’t want him to stop.
He doesn’t, a primitive sound tearing out of him as he speeds up, our bodies making slick noises as he slides in and out of me, my butt slamming against the wall.
I come with a sharp cry and fling my arms around his neck, and a second later, I feel him come too, his movements turning jerky as he thrusts in and out.
He holds me like that for a few minutes as we both catch our breath.
I’m surprised by the force of it—my need for him. My desire. I’ve never disliked sex or anything, but this is… this is like the sex Olympics. It’s like a drug.
I want more.
I pull back slightly, my body sticking against his.
“Fuck, Kelsey,” he says, then kisses me hard again, claiming my mouth. He finally softens, peppering my mouth with kisses. “You’re fucking perfect.”
“Do you think we’ll ever get tired of that?” I say, and my voice sounds dazed.
I feel dazed.
“Hell no,” he says and then beams at me, his smile so huge that it makes my heart hurt. “Come on, babe, let’s get cleaned up. I knew there was a reason I got a huge bathtub. I just didn’t know it was you.”
With ridiculous, athletic ease, he lifts me up and then bridal carries me out of the kitchen and back into the master bedroom I remember from only a few days ago.
I smother a laugh as I remember my thoughts from that night. A one-night stand. Ha.
So much for a one-night stand, because Daniel?
I could fall hard for Daniel Harrison.
I already am.
CHAPTER 31
DANIEL
I wake up to Kelsey Cole snoring quietly next to me. Light brown hair sticks to her lower lip, moving as she breathes in and out.
It’s the best fucking thing I’ve ever seen.
We fell asleep fast after a long, hot bubble bath last night, and now I’m doubly glad the realtor talked me into this place. Fitting in a bathtub alone is usually impossible, forget with a woman.
But Kelsey and I fit in the oversized tub I’d never used before just perfectly.
I trace circles on her stomach, not wanting to wake her but unable to keep from touching her. The sun filters through the curtains, the warm light a caress on her skin.
