“Speaking of.” I stopped their thrashing and opened her legs.
“What are you doing?” she shrieked, her face red.
“Looking at my cum in your pussy. Shit. That’s… there’s no words.”
“You like it?” she asked hesitantly.
I nodded, licking my lips. I wanted to taste me and her together, but I didn’t want to overwhelm her with all my kinks in one night.
“You guys take a shower. I’ll clean up and throw these blankets in the wash.”
“Are you sure?” I asked. I wanted some alone time, but I didn’t want Holden to think he couldn’t join us, either.
“Yes. Go. Before I change my mind.”
I grabbed Mer in my arms and ran to the bathroom as she squealed. If this was what the rest of my life would be like, I was here for it. Images of the three of us in a house with a big bed and the animals I wanted to rescue flashed through my mind. That. I wanted that.
Mer and I washed ourselves, and she gave me an update on the wedding, her talk with Hope, and how things went with Holden.
“Then the asshole told my dad he wanted to marry me. Can you believe that?” Holding her to me under the water, I laughed.
“Yeah, I can. That’s Holden. He’s fiercely protective and loyal. Once you’re his, that’s it.”
“But I’m only twenty-one! Isn’t that young?”
I shrugged. “I’m twenty-two, and Hol’s twenty-three. Does it really matter how old we are if we know? We don’t have to do it tomorrow, but I’m with Holden, Mer.”
“You’re both ridiculous.” Her eyes grew so large, and I laughed.
“Come on. I have to be at the shelter tomorrow, and I want to have enough time to eat your pussy for breakfast while Holden fucks you.”
Her mouth dropped open, and I turned off the shower, loving her shocked expression. I gave her a shirt of mine to wear, making Holden grumble about having to alternate so he could see her in his clothes, too. Mer gaped at us, mumbling something about our competitiveness, but I knew she secretly loved how we tried to one-up each other by claiming her. She’d learn soon that neither of us half-assed things, and we weren’t going anywhere.
Holden opted to sleep in his bed since neither of us had a bed large enough to hold three adults, two of whom were over six feet tall. So, when my alarm went off, I carried a sleepy Mer into his room and got my wish of eating her out for breakfast. Holden grumbled about my mouth being too close to his balls, but I told him to get over it. I wasn’t focused on them, so he could either deal with it or wait his turn.
After three orgasms, I kissed Mer goodbye and headed out. She’d offered to let me use her car so I wouldn’t have to take the bus and would catch a ride with Holden to campus. Smiling ear to ear, I clicked the key fob to unlock the door and hit the automatic start. God, I loved her car. And her.
The Audi purred to life, and I debated returning to the apartment and telling her I loved her right then. I knew it was soon, but I’d never felt this sure about anything.
Hitting the fob, I locked it when a blast of heat hit me, knocking me back. I hit the grass hard, my head spinning as a ringing sounded in my ears. My vision went hazy, and confusion overwhelmed me.
What happened?
A shadow stood over me, but I couldn’t make out any faces. Either from the sun or on purpose, I didn’t know, because everything swam before me.
“Stay away from her.”
Something dropped onto my chest, and nausea rolled through me. I rolled over, puking into the grass and wishing the spinning would stop.
The last thing I thought before everything went dark… I never got the chance to tell Mer I loved her.
CHAPTER
FORTY-ONE
EMERSON
Watching Holden get dressed was becoming my new favorite hobby. It screamed intimate, reinforcing the words he’d uttered yesterday. I love you.
