“Can I change out of the dress now?”
“Yes, of course, I’ll be back in a few weeks, after I make a few alterations, and we’ll have another fitting.”
“Thank you.” And with that, I went to change back into my clothes and try to forget this experience had ever happened.

ALPHA KEDRICK - Right after Jasmine’s phone cut off
“Jasmine!” Jordan yelled out as the line went dead. “Fuck! We have to go home!” He stood up and started pacing the room.
The boys were clearly distressed by what they had just heard, so I knew I had to be the voice of reason for them. “Hold on guys, you can’t just take off that far without knowing more about the situation. I know you’re worried about your families, but let’s think this through before we rush into anything.”
As I finished those words, the three guys groaned in pain, each clutching at their heart. They looked around at each other with wide eyes. “What the hell was that?” Cristian directed towards me.
‘Gabriel, I need you in my office, find Elder Frank and Ellis and bring them both with you.’
‘On it Alpha.’ Gabriel was efficient, so I knew he’d be here quickly.
“Alright, guys, we’ll figure this out. We just need to find someone close by who can help.” I pulled out my collection of pack territory maps and went over the conference table to spread them out. I had maps for all the wolf territories as well as maps for the bear and fox territories. It was important to know boundaries as part of The Council.
“There, that’s perfect.” I pointed to a territory right next to Cobalt Falls. “Brown Claw. That’s the closest territory, about 30 minutes away, and Alpha Tate is a good friend of mine, so I don’t doubt he’ll be willing to help.
“Brown Claw? That’s a bear clan, right?” Jordan looked up at me perplexed.
“It is.” I nodded.
“You’re sure they’ll help?”
“Yes, but let’s call and find out for sure.”
Jordan nodded at me, and I went to my desk and dialed the number for Brown Claw. The phone rang three times before someone answered. “Hello.”
“Yes, this is Alpha Kedrick from Harvest Moon, and I need to speak to Alpha Tate Vance.”
“One moment, please.”
“Kedrick, to what do I owe this pleasure? It’s too early for our monthly call, so what’s up?”
“You’re right, this is actually a business call…I need a huge favor.”
“Alright, man, what can I do for you?”
The boys looked at me expectantly as I spoke with Tate. I could feel their energy and knew they were ready to shoot away like an errant firework if this call didn’t go well.
“As you know, I’ve been training the Cobalt Falls boys this summer.” I took a deep breath before continuing. “They haven’t been able to reach their parents and a phone call with one of their sisters didn’t end well. A guard was killed while they were on the phone, and then the line went dead. We need to know what is going on, and you’re the closest to Cobalt Falls.”
“You want me to scope out their pack, then?”
“Yeah, the guys are ready to rush over there, but it’s ten hours from us, so I need you to check it out for us.”
“Don’t worry, Kedrick, I’m on it…I’ll send some scouts over, and I’ll call you back once I know something.”
“Thanks, man.”
I hung up and swiped a hand over my face. I needed to talk to my Beta and Luna because if my suspicions were right about what was happening, these boys were in for a world of hurt.
“Alright, guys. We won’t hear anything for a while, so I need you to hold off on doing anything irrational. I’ve already alerted my guards and gamma that you aren’t allowed off the territory.” I gave them a pointed stare.
