My nerves instantly spark fire and his cool mouth kisses me back. Another shot of warmth radiates through our tongues and fires down my throat to invade my insides. It nearly hurts but it’s a pain I can easily ignore in favor of kissing him all over again.

Thunder rolls above our heads. Ari breaks away and looks up into the sky at the dark clouds popping up on the edge of woods but he doesn’t seem bothered by it. So I won’t be either.

I’ll let him lead.

“What was that for?” he asks, smiling at my lips.

“Three dates, three kisses. Remember?” I say.

“At the end of each date,” he says. He pushes up and I feel the slightest sprinkle of rain on my brow. “This one is just getting started, young Tannis.”

Ari extends his hand to me.

And I take it.
