Page 3 of These Deadly Dreams

“Anything for you,” he whispers, gaze burning as much as the fire in my veins.

He pulls his finger out and I make a sound of protest that is quickly cut off as he adds two more fingers. He thrusts in and out, while Kai continues to feed from me in long, slow, pulls. Everything is intensified with Kai’s fangs buried deep in my neck, I know it isn’t going to take much more for me to tip over the edge.

Cade curls his fingers, rubbing that magic spot that makes me see stars. With nothing but Cade’s fingers and Kai’s fangs, I tumble over the cliff of ecstasy with my head thrown back and a scream on my lips. They slowly draw me through my pleasure while Kai licks away any excess blood, shivers running over my skin at the contact.

Hands rub up and down my arms and legs. I’m too blissed out to notice what hands belong to whom. My head rests on Kai’s chest, and I close my eyes, exhaling a huge breath as my limbs go lax.

Kai kisses the top of my head. “Are you back with us?”

Unable to form words, I nod my head and attempt to burrow deeper into Kai’s chest.

“Glad to have you back, love.” Cade leans forward and kisses my forehead before standing.

I can’t help it. I peek an eye open to catch the sight of his naked body dripping water. His cock stands proudly at attention and his eyes appear to smolder when he notices me looking.

“I’m not sure she’s had enough, Kai. She’s looking at me like she wants to eat me.” He glances at Kai and smirks. “Then again, so are you.”

It takes monumental effort to tear my gaze from Cade’s body, but I manage to lift my head and glance at Kai, who is indeed looking at Cade like he wants to eat him. And shit, I’m all for that.

“Okay, fuck. This is happening.” Kai stands and throws me over his shoulder in one movement.

I squeal and his hands lands on my ass with a stinging slap that makes me clench my legs together. From this angle, I have the best view of his tight ass as he climbs out of the tub and walks into his room. I can’t help myself. I drop my hand down and give that tasty ass a squeeze. His step falters before he brings his hand down in another stinging slap.

I don’t have time to react. He tosses me onto the bed without any warning. I shriek as I fall, my stomach swooping. Landing in a naked, wet heap on the soft mattress, I swipe a few curls from my eyes and my gaze snags on the boys standing shoulder to shoulder at the foot of the bed. Damn. I really got lucky when I was fated to these beautiful creatures.

Kai is leaner than Cade, but his muscles are no less impressive. His lithe frame speaks to how fast and flexible he is when completing impressive feats, like scaling buildings and jumping from roof to roof. And those tattoos. Mouthwatering doesn’t begin to describe all that black ink covering his chest and arms and creeping up his neck.

Cade, on the other hand, looks like he was carved of marble with his cut muscles and tan skin. I feel so protected in his strong arms, safe from every danger in the world. His ink is colorful, compared to Kai’s black and gray. His left arm is covered in swirling cosmos that I could get lost in.

When my gaze finally tracks up their beautiful bodies to their faces, they’re both grinning at me.

“I think she likes what she sees,” Cade says. He crawls up the bed, his gaze traveling over my naked body as he does so. “I like what I see, too,” he whispers against my mouth.

He kisses me. It’s almost enough to pull me from the thought that pops in my head. Almost. But it’s not enough. The thought grows until it’s all I can think about. How can they possibly like what they see? I’m a fucking harpy. A monster. They should be running in the opposite direction.

Kai settles next to me on the bed and tugs me away from Cade’s mouth with a firm grip on my chin. “What’s with the melancholy? Is Cade that bad at kissing?”

A smile tugs at my lips briefly at his words. He knows as well as I do how absurd that question is. The smile doesn’t last though.

“Ellis, baby girl, what are you thinking right now?” His gray eyes search mine, like he is trying to read through the emotions to the cause.

My lower lip wobbles, and I press my lips together to hide it. They see it though, and shadows float through their eyes. I take a deep breath, swallow the lump in my throat, and prepare myself.

“How can you guys still want me?” I ask. My eyes burn, and I know I’m seconds away from crying.

“How the fuck can we not want you?” Kai asks, blunt as ever.

“I’m a monster,” I whisper, unable to say the words aloud. It’s like if I voice them, it will make them true.

Cade’s eyes flash with anger before he blinks and it disappears. His thumb traces my trembling lower lip. “I never want to hear you say that again. There are real monsters in this world, and you are not one of them,” he says firmly. “ Despite everything that has been done to you and everything you have been through, you never once let them turn you into what they are. There is no one more pure and beautiful in this world than you.”

The tears threatening to fall, spill over at his words. Kai brushes one from my temple with his knuckle. “You see past our darkness and accept us for what we are,” he says quietly. “How could we not do the same for you? Ellis, you could be the biggest, baddest monster in Lustros and we would still burn the fucking world to the ground to be with you.”

I slap a hand over my mouth to contain the sob that climbs up my throat. Their words. Their acceptance. Their support. Their love. That’s what this is. That’s what this flutter in my chest is. Love. I love these guys. In this short amount of time of knowing them, I have fallen in love with each of them. I think I would have fallen for them even without the bonds that fate placed on us.

Kai’s eyes shine as he reads my emotions and the truth of the words that I just admitted to myself. He smiles and nods. “I love you, too. And if you’re a monster, Ellis, then you’re our monster.”

Cade brushes more of my tears away and kisses me gently. “I love you, too, Ellis. Nothing will ever change that.”
