“You’re gonna be serving us, King?” Eric asks while his friends behind him just smirk like weirdos.
“No, why would I do that?” I glare at them as they all take a seat at the bar.
“Because it’s common courtesy.” Eric raises an eyebrow at me. “Is Hayden getting ready to get his ass beat? I know his ego will take a hit but you’ll be there to stroke it better won’t you?” Eric says and his friends burst out laughing at the innuendo.
“You sound like a child. Are you fourteen or something?” I raise an eyebrow at Eric who is still giving me a cocky smile while chuckling.
“I didn’t come here to tease you about your relationship with Hayden. If anything, I came here to make sure you tell your boyfriend to back down from the fight or things will get ugly very fast. This is an official warning.”
I shake my head lightly. “Hayden would never back down from a fight so it looks like you’re shit out of luck, Eric.” I cross my arms and lean against the counter, keeping my eyes on him.
“I mean you do know I beat him last time don’t you?’
“That’s because you cheated. Everyone knows that.”
Eric smiles and shakes his head lightly. “There is no cheating in an underground fighting ring, darling. You out of everyone should know that.”
“You almost killed him.”
“He is alive and well, is he not?” Eric raises an eyebrow at me and leans back in his chair. “Look Jaclyn, I like you. You seem like a nice girl. You don’t have the guts to be in Hayden’s world. No one has enough guts for the shit Hayden’s involved in. It would be better if you just left.”
“Who gave you permission to talk about my relationship with Hayden?” I cross my arms over my chest making Eric’s eyes go straight to my breasts that are straining against my shirt.
Eric sighs and shakes his head lightly. “You don’t get it. But you’ll learn.” Eric gets up from the chair along with his friends. “Give Hayden my regards, Jaclyn. It will be a pleasure beating his ass, especially since the price is unlike any other.” Eric says before walking towards the front door.
He gives me a small wink as he and his friends leave through the front door.
Forty-Nine
Hayden
Jaclyn’s fingers trailing up and down my back releases any tension I have in my body. I feel calm and almost nurtured with how her touch feels against my skin.
We’re in the dressing room right now waiting for the referee to come in and say the fight is all set. I can hear the crowd outside the room, yelling my name and Eric’s name. Kayden told me that tonight’s tickets were sold out and he also mentioned that my biddings were the highest.
It’s gonna be a good night when I win. I’ll be fucking drowning in money and that deal Marco and I made will be done with.
“You okay?” Jaclyn asks, kissing my temple, still running her hands up and down my back.
“Yea, just thinking,” I mumble before looking at her. “You’ll be okay out there? You don’t want to stay here?”
She shakes her head before licking her bottom lip, making my dick twitch in my pants. “I am going to stay with Natalia and the boys. I want to watch you.”
I like knowing that Jaclin likes what I do. I know some people, Carter for example, hate that I fight, especially in a setting that’s fucked up. Jaclyn lets me be who I want to be without any judgment.
I reach out and tuck a strand of hair behind her ear. “If anything happens, I don’t care if I have Eric by the neck against the cage, you get my attention and I’ll come.” I hold her jaw in my hand making her look at me.
She nods her head and looks down at my lips, blush forming on her face.
I can’t help but lean towards her and press my lips against her.
I love kissing Jaclyn. She fits so well against me and I’ve never had someone who is as perfect for me as Jaclyn is. She just matches all the energy I have when kissing me. She breathes me in like she can’t get enough of me.
I lick her bottom lip before my tongue makes its way between her lips. She breathes heavily before kissing me back just as furiously and passionately.
And when I feel like I just can’t get enough of her a knock sounds on the door making me grunt and pull away from her.
“Night, you’re up,” the ref calls and I close my eyes, wishing I was anywhere but here.
