He’s still getting married.

Whether he loves her or not.

I lean away from him and rest my forehead against his. “You’re still engaged,” I whisper.

Hayden sighs and presses his lips to mine. “I’ll take care of it.”

“You also have a ring on you finger.” I say, looking at

that goddamn ring, just wanting him to take it o! at least. Hayden sighs and takes o! the ring and giving it

to me.

I take it hesitantly. I look on the inside of the ring and

see my initials.

“I’ve been wearing that ring for almost four years now. It’s always been you, Jaclyn.”

The room is dark.

The only time light actually comes on is when the door opens and Eric turns on the lights. They chained me down to the point where I can only reach the bucket they put near the bed for me to go to the bathroom in.

The clothes I’m wearing are loose and they feel like I have no armor on. They can so easily take the shirt and shorts off, baring me for them to look at.

The only one who's done serious damage is Marco.

It replays in my mind every night. I can’t stop the memories or the visions.

Sure Eric did major damage but Marco is the one who broke me.

He came in wearing a black hood as if he could read my mind.

As if I was dreaming and seeing a black hooded man all along.

My nightmares came true and they are only beginning.

I can’t keep track of the days.

Eric drugs me every night and God knows what else. I wake up feeling achy and sore everywhere. It’s like they are tearing down my body and breaking me slowly and painfully.

There is only so much I can take before I take these chains and wrap them around my throat.

But something’s stopping me.

I don’t know why I can’t do it. I came close last time I was awake but then a boy, someone who looked similar to Hayden, told me not to.

He told me to keep going.

So every time one of them comes in to feed me or scare me, I remember him.

I feel disgusting.
