Striding up to her, I cup her face and lower my lips to hers. She sighs against my lips as her taste explodes on me. I groan as her tongue tentatively skirts out to feather against my lips. And while my dick is telling me to deepen this kiss, my heart is telling me to slow. Worship her. I’ll have so many other opportunities to have my way with Hannah, but at this moment, when I know without a shadow of a doubt that she’s my future, I have all the time in the world to revel in this kiss.

Hannah breaks away breathlessly, unaware she’s dropped all the files so she could grip my shirt tightly in both hands. As our eyes open simultaneously, I smile at her. “Now I know what my mom and sister were alluding to.”

“What?” Hannah whispers.

“I didn’t know you had a job here. Arianna was way too excited about me spontaneously showing up here, and my mom asked all kinds of questions about whatever girl had me tied up in knots.”

“I have you tied up in knots?” Hannah asks, her eyes wide with wonder.

“Yeah, baby. You do.”

“I don’t think I’ve ever tied someone up before,” she jokes, then she gasps in horror. “That’s not what I meant!”

I chuckle. “I know what you meant. But if you’d like to be tied up, I can help with that.”

Hannah’s eyes grow hooded. “Promise?”

God dammit.

This woman.

Resting my forehead against hers, I nod. “Yeah, baby. I still owe you on the promise from last night anyway.”

“I get off at five. Wait. I leave work at five.”

“I’ll get you off at five, too. Shit. I can’t, I have a game tonight,” I say, wincing. Fuck. I almost wish they’d scratch me. I’d rather be with Hannah tonight anyway. “Any chance you’d come to my game?”

Hannah looks torn. “I don’t think it’s wise for me to be at the arena right now. I’d like to get a plan in place where I can sneak in and out without Woodward, or the GM seeing me.”

I sigh. “I understand.”

“I’ll watch the game on tv though,” she says. I perk up. Better than nothing.

“You will?”

She nods. “Of course I will.”

Before I can even think, I blurt out, “I love you.”

Hannah’s mouth drops open as her eyes fill with tears. “You do? You didn’t say anything yesterday, and I thought maybe I scared you off, but then I didn’t really give you any time, and you were really tired, and —”

I cut her off with a kiss, sliding my tongue into her mouth as I pick her up and hold her against me. Her feet dangle a foot off the ground, and I feel her giggle into my mouth. Breaking off the kiss, I say, “I’m sorry. I was so fucking ecstatic about you telling me, that I didn’t realize I didn’t say it back. Of course I love you, Han. You’re everything to me. You’re it for me. This is it. You and me, okay?”

“Okay,” she whispers.

It’s only then that I realize we’re in the middle of my family’s hotel, and we’re surrounded by a good chunk of my family members, who are all clapping. Hannah buries her head in my chest as I lower her to the ground.

“I didn’t mean to embarrass you, baby,” I say quietly. She looks up at me, her eyes full of love, and I know I’ve never had anyone look at me like that before. And I know I’ll do whatever I can to ensure Hannah always looks at me this way.

“I’m not embarrassed, but this is my place of employment, and I am actually on the clock,” she admits. As I’m about to apologize again, her eyes soften as she cups my cheek tenderly. “You could never embarrass me, Luca. And I love your family. I just wish I had known they were your family … dammit, Dominic is your brother? I knew he looked somewhat familiar!”

As if he knew she mentioned him, my brother strolls up. “Hannah, I don’t think we’ve properly met. Dominic Santo.”

“You could have led with your last name during the interview, you know,” Hannah says wryly.

“I could have, but where was the fun in that? Plus Ari told me not to. We were all on strict orders to not mention our ‘famous’ brother,” Dom says with air quotes.

“Still here to have lunch with your favorite girl, Cocco?” Mom teases.
