“He's right, baby girl,” Levi says, joining us, holding Romeo in his arms. He's all sweaty, and I can smell his diaper from here.
Levi holds the little boy out in front of Ash. “You have a million diapers to make up for,” he says with a grin that's pure evil, and I laugh.
Charity reaches for my hair and holds it while she eats, and I watch as Ash attempts to clean Rome up.
He won't sit still and is trying to run away. Levi is cringing, and I know he's going to step in.
Yep, I called it. “No, Ash, you need to hold him with one hand while replacing the diaper. Just let me do it.”
I laugh, shaking my head as I continue to watch them. It reminds me of when Eli had a huge blowout in the middle of the night.
I have never seen Levi look unsure about something before. It proved he is human.
I clap after Rome is in a new diaper and shorts. “Great job. Now take her so I can make something to eat.”
Charity is asleep, so Levi carefully takes her and lays her out on his chest. Ash watches them, and I know what he's thinking.
“It just takes practice. That's why you're not leaving again.” And with that final statement, I leave the room, hiding my tears.
Because as much as I hate it, I know that he will have to go back to Isabella again.
He's our only hope to bringing her down.
Tempest is still out, and I'm starting to worry. With Isabella on the run, she could be anywhere, and she knows what my best friend means to me.
After the whole lesbian debacle at Holy Cross, I learned that Tempest's mom had started to meet for lunch with Isabella.
Just two psychotic bitches eating and gossiping.
A match made in Hell.
I text her again, but I don't get any reply, or proof that she even read it. I'm about to call her, demanding a status update, when Ash walks in.
“We need to talk,” Ash mumbles, entering the nursery. He has Eli in his arms, and my heart skips a beat.
It's taken a few days for them to warm up to each other, but I think Elijah knows that Ash is his daddy.
“Okay, what's up?” I finish changing Charity into her pajamas, then swaddle her tight and lay her in the bassinet.
Her eyelids are heavy, so she should be asleep soon.
“Let's talk in the bedroom,” I say as I walk out of the room and down the hall to where the guys and I have been sleeping.
I'm still sore, and my incision from the C-section itches, but I can move around a lot better now, so I'm thankful for that.
We stop at the room the boys have been sleeping in, and Ash lays Eli down. I bend over and give my sweet baby boy a quick kiss.
Ash takes my hand as we walk the five feet to my room, but drops it before we enter.
Levi sits up when we walk in, and sets his book on his chest. I laugh when I see the cover.
He gives me a pout, pushing his reading glasses up his nose, and I bite my lip.
“Do you know how sexy you look in your professor disguise?” I say, climbing onto the bed, forgetting that Ash is behind me, and I'm not wearing panties.
“Damn,” he mumbles, and I shoot him a wink from over my shoulder.
Levi grabs me, tugging me up his body until I can straddle him. He's already hard, and I have to wonder what scene he was reading in the book he obviously stole from Tempest.
