Our lips never break apart. My air is his air.

We went from being two strangers to two people who mean the most to each other in the entire world.

Kage is willing to die for me, but most importantly, he was willing to live for me and stand before me when the nightmares came. He became my shield, my safe place, my lover, and now, my everything.

I never believed in true love, but he’s making a believer out of me.

He swallows my moan, leisurely sliding his hands up my body. He’s already memorized every inch, but every time he touches me, it’s like the first time. He turns my head and presses soft kisses all over my cheeks and neck and then moves back up, kissing my nose and then my eyes so they shut.

“My beautiful fiancée, I have waited for you for so long,” he whispers as my hands slide down his jacket and part it. “You’re never getting away from me. We’ll always be together.”

“Together,” I murmur as my eyes open, and I sit up. Our lips meet in a flurry again as we work to undo his jacket, never once breaking the kiss. He rips it off and tosses it away before standing. He undoes his slacks and slowly pushes them down. His hard erection springs free before he falls to his knees. Sliding his hands up my legs, he takes my dress with them, his lips trailing kisses over skin others scarred and abused.

His butterfly soft touches have me reaching for him. “I love you,” I blurt, unable to stop myself.

His smile is slow and sexy. “I know, sweetheart. I’ve always known. Now let me show you how much I adore you, how much I love and cherish you.”

Gripping my dress, he pulls it up and over my head. His eyes land on my white lace bra next. Reaching around, I unhook it and let it fall with the rest of our clothes. He hooks his fingers in my matching panties and pulls them from me so we’re both bare.

We reach for each other, our lips crashing together as I fall back with him between my parted thighs where he belongs.

Our hands slide over each other’s skin with soft, loving touches. Lifting my leg, he runs his hand down my thigh as I hook it over his hip, and when his length presses against my entrance, I whisper his name, knowing how he loves it when I do.

Groaning, he presses his forehead against mine, our eyes locked as he slowly presses inside me, stretching me around his cock. He fills me to the brim and slowly pulls out, then he pushes back in with a rolling thrust.

It isn’t like normal. This isn’t us fucking, this is making love, and I can’t look away, can’t pull myself from the darkness in his gaze.

It used to terrify me, but he’s shown me the beauty inside it, and I let it consume me now as our bodies come together. We find our rhythm, moving like we have been together forever and know everything about one another.

Our hands interlace, and he brings them between us, the ring sparkling on my finger as he rolls his hips, making love to me with our promise held between us.

I belong to him, mind, body, and soul.

That would have terrified me before, but I know he will never abuse that. He will never seek to control or use me. He will stand at my side as I take over the world. Kage doesn’t want to own me, he wants to love me, and I let him.

When we reach our ultimate end, I will take him with me so we can be together in the next life too. I don’t want to spend another minute without him.

“I can’t wait for your hair to turn gray and your skin to wrinkle because it means I will have loved you the entire time,” he whispers.

“Even when I’m not young and beautiful anymore?” I joke, but it ends in a gasp as he drives into me harder.

“It isn’t your face that makes you beautiful, Fallon. When will you see that? I will love you in every form and every way.” Leaning down, he kisses me as I lift my hips to meet his thrusts.

Slow pleasure builds within me, commanded by him.

Before him, pleasure was a way to forget, but now it’s a way to remember how we fit together and the way we are building a life.

His lips brush over mine. “Let’s fall together, my love.”

“I’m with you,” I tell him, and I am.

As the music reaches its crescendo, so do we. We swallow each other’s moans of pleasure as we tumble over the edge together.

When we come back down from that high, we kiss softly, our hands still joined. We are surrounded by the petals of the flowers that brought us together, and with his ring on my finger, I know I’ll finally get my happily ever after—the one I have only ever sung about.

He makes those words real, showing me what they really mean.

He gives them meaning, and I will spend the rest of our lives singing them with him.
