"I couldn't wait to tell you." Coco laughed, happiness bubbling out of her. "It was so romantic. He just came right out and—"

Peer cleared his throat. She stopped jumping and looked at him. Amused at him thinking she should keep some things secret, she looked back at Lizzy and burst out laughing. Nothing would stop her from sharing the excitement.

"You know the second they're alone, they'll discuss everything that has happened since they last talked," said Roar.

She and Lizzy turned toward the men. When Roar hired them both to work at the bar, Slag Motorcycle Club scared them both to death. While she'd flirted with others and partied with the whole club, she never imagined loving a biker.

She never imagined standing here with Roar and Lizzy and being with Peer. It was like that was how her life was supposed to be.

Grabbing Lizzy's arm, it dawned on her what was missing. "Where's Hanne?"

She knew where Tyr was, but she'd completely missed that the baby wasn't with Lizzy.

"At home with Roar's sister, Anna. She's visiting from Norway and staying with us for the week until her husband arrives. She's got a little one about Tyr's age and volunteered to babysit for a couple of hours tonight, so we could have some time for ourselves," said Lizzy.

"That's awesome." Coco pulled her back to the men and saddled up to Peer, taking her drink back. "What time is it?"

Peer looked at his phone. "A little after nine o'clock."

"Good. We have hours." She kissed him, noticing he'd finished his beer. "Do you want another?"

"I'm good."

She took another drink and handed him the rest of her beer. "Finish mine. I was only going to have one, anyway."

His hand moved from her lower back and patted her ass. "You're good."

"Don't you forget it, mister." She leaned against his side and kissed him.

"Nei, I won't, Collette Lewis."

Roar got pulled away into conversation with Marcus. Lizzy looked at Coco. She knew her friend wanted to follow, time away was scarce for both of them, and she shooed her.

"We'll catch up later." She blew a kiss to Lizzy.

Once they were alone, she turned to Peer and hugged his middle.

Lizzy talking about Roar's sister visiting from Norway reminded her of Peer's plan if Kelli kept trying to see Tyr. The only way she knew to convince him to stay was to make it impossible for him to leave her.

She'd love him like no other woman could. Support him every second of the day. Show him how good he had it here with her, Slag, and work.

"Hey." He tipped her chin. "What are you thinking?"

"Do you ever have that moment when you realize this is exactly what you wanted to be doing and where you wanted to be?" She gathered his beard in her hands and straightened it. "Let's make this a monthly thing."

"We're here every day—"

"I'm not talking about when we're at work or when we come over for a meeting or when you have something to do here." She let go of his beard and spread her hands on his chest. "A date. We've done everything backward. Something normal and fun, just you and me, that's what I want more of. It doesn't have to be a lot. Once a month is perfect for both our schedules and with Tyr."

His gaze warmed. "You want a date. I can do that."

"Next month?" Adrenaline filled her. She needed a future plan from him to know he was right here with her and not thinking about taking off and going back to Norway.

He kissed her softly. "Next month. Maybe we'll ride to the coast and back for the day."

"Really?" Joy filled her. "We don't have to be gone that long. I know you don't like being away from Tyr."

"An hour there, an hour back, and time enough for me to have sex on the beach with you is all we need. Tyr will sleep most of the time in the clubhouse if we leave early in the morning." His gaze intensified. "I like being around the water and around you."

"Then, it's a date," she whispered.

Grasping on to the hope of a future with Peer living in the United States, she stayed in his arms. To think he and Tyr would be ripped away from her was unbearable.
