“Unlike with your family, Alpha Raymond likes to separate work from home. His office is right over there with Beta Fallon’s office, while he lives just a few houses down.”

“Interesting.”

“I believe he would like to meet you two.”

“Of course.”

Ann had led them to a small house and opened the door. “This one is all yours.”

Niev stepped in and through the bond he could feel a cozy feeling settle within her. “This reminds me of your old cabin, Blake.”

It was true. Though slightly smaller, the house was similar to his old cabin. “We’ll feel right at home then.”

“How about you two get some rest and I’ll pick you up for lunch later?” Ann suggested.

“Sounds good,” Niev said, suppressing a yawn.

Ann giggled and pushed Niev toward the bedroom. “Rest up, I’ll see you two in a few hours.”

Ann and Kareem then left, closing the door behind them.

With tired eyes, Niev turned to Blake and took his hand. “Come, let’s get some rest. Maybe we can explore a little in the afternoon.”

“I’ll never turn down cuddle time.”

“Did you see the tree? It looks just like Selene’s tree.”

“It could be similar to ours.”

“Hopefully we can take a closer look.”

The room was cozy and had a king-sized bed with lots of pillows. Niev didn’t even bother changing. Her eyes closed as soon as her head hit the pillow. Blake moved in close behind her, pulling her tighter to his body and kissing her neck as they settled into rest.

Family

Niev woke up to Blake kissing her shoulders and gently squeezing her thighs.

“Time to wake up, beautiful.”

“Mhm… just a little longer,” Niev yawned in response.

“You must be hungry. You wanted to explore the village, didn’t you?”

She sighed and sat up. “I did.”

“Ann messaged; she’ll be here in ten minutes.”

Cupping his face, Niev pulled him into a kiss, her lips tingling as they met his. “Let me freshen up before she comes.”

Fifteen minutes later she held onto Blake’s hand while Ann guided them through the village to her house.

“Alpha Raymond would like to invite you two to dinner tomorrow evening.”

A nervous feeling settled in Niev’s stomach. “Oh, I hope it’s nothing formal. I’m not good at that kind of stuff.”

Blake gently squeezed her hand, his peaceful energy trickling through his touch.

“Alpha Raymond is not a very formal man. I think he’s curious about meeting both of you.”
