“Yes, we spent our first night here yesterday.”

“Well, I hope Tristan’s snoring didn’t keep you up all night.”

Olivia shyly giggled.

“Niev and I wanted to see if you and Tristan would like to have dinner with us tonight.”

“Of course. Should I bring anything?”

“Just yourselves.”

She nodded and he turned back to the house. Though his mother had filled up the fridge, Blake wanted to go to the store to pick up all their favorites.

They had a quick lunch after Niev’s bath and then left for the store. Niev was much more relaxed and her mind more at ease. She wasn’t hiding her feelings anymore. They had just as much fun as they’d had the first time they went shopping together.

He made sure she had enough of everything, so she didn’t have to go out while he was gone. He knew she would be fine. After all she’d been taking care of herself for years, but he didn’t want his absence to be a burden on her. Back at home, they stored it all away and were surprised by Tristan and Olivia showing up early.

“We thought we could help you with dinner,” Tristan explained as he walked in.

Niev’s face lit up. “Of course. How are you two? Are you settled in yet?”

“Slowly but surely, but most of the credit goes to Olivia for that.”

“I don’t have much else to do while you’re at work.”

Olivia joined Niev in the kitchen as they decided what they wanted to cook while Tristan and Blake waited for their instructions.

“How was your visit with Ann?” Tristan curiously asked as Blake handed him a glass of water.

“We actually asked you two over here so we could talk about that.”

Brows furrowed, Tristan studied Blake’s face and Olivia stiffened, as if she feared something bad was about to happen.

“Alpha Raymond has no heir of his own, so he’s offered the title to me. Niev and I have accepted the offer.”

Tristan’s face filled with disbelief while sadness took over Olivia, her eyes flickering between the two of them.

Tristan finally broke the uncomfortable silence. “You’re leaving?”

“Yes. I’ll be leaving for a few days tomorrow with Father to arrange our arrival. We want to move to the Montanha Village before Aruna and Emlyn arrive.”

“You’re leaving so soon?” Olivia whispered on the verge of tears.

Niev quickly pulled Olivia into a hug. “We will, but not because we want to get away from you. It’s just the best decision for me and Blake. He can finally be what he was born to be.”

“I will miss you,” Olivia started sniffling.

“I’m so sorry, Olivia.”

Blake tried to soothe her. “We’ll visit all the time and you two are always welcome to come visit us.”

“Fuck…” Tristan ran his hand over his face as if he wanted to wipe away his shock. “I mean that’s good for you, but… well… fuck.”

“We’re sorry to spring this on you but we didn’t know ourselves until a few days ago.”

“Look, I’m not blaming you or anything. I’m happy for you and Niev. I’ll just miss my best friend.” Tristan pulled Blake into a hug and patted his shoulder. “Alpha Blake does have a nice ring to it.”

“Luna Niev too,” Olivia whispered and wiped her tears. “I’m happy too. I just like you both very much and will miss you.”
