Sitting up, he looked down at her and adjusted the angle. As he leaned back slightly, he pressed his thumb on her clit. Her body jolted, just mere inches away from her climax. He thrusted and circled her harder, her walls tightening round him. His next thrust pushed her over her edge, her muscles tightening and squeezing his cum until he’d spilled every drop.
His wolf howled in his mind, her pleasure and relief turning into his. Her body fell limp beneath him, his own slowly caving in too. His skin tingled and his muscles felt like Jell-O. He rolled onto his back, pulling her with him. Before he could settle, she let out a frustrated groan and sat up.
“What is it, beautiful?”
“The girls are taking up too much space. I can’t lay on my stomach like that anymore.”
He chuckled and laid his hands on her bump. “The first inconvenience beside the tiredness and constant peeing.”
“We have to find another cuddle position,” she giggled and reached over to grab some tissues.
He watched as she placed the tissues between her legs and waddled to the bathroom. He cleaned himself up, walked to the closet, and chose their pajamas before taking them to her.
He settled in behind her, his hand resting on her bump as they both fell asleep.
Best Friend Talk
The clearing was already filling for the ceremony when Blake and Niev stepped off their little path and onto the grass. Unlike for their ceremony, the clearing wasn’t decorated much. There were a few rose petals by the tree’s roots where they would–as Niev called it—“tie the knot”—but that was about it.
Blake had his arm around Niev’s waist, guiding her to the front of the crowd. As they walked, he scanned the group in search of Terra. He’d asked his father to go speak to her and hopefully keep her from making a scene.
As they stood in the front row, his father stepped before the crowd. He didn’t have to say anything for the pack to quiet, his aura did it all for him. Seeing his father up there before the people he vowed to protect, Blake couldn’t fight the shiver that ran down his spine. Soon, he would be that person standing before his own pack. He would be the one responsible for their lives and he couldn’t pray enough to Selene for strength, or to be half as great as his father. Niev must have felt his inner workings, her body leaning against him as she gently squeezed him in a hug.
With a loving, paternal voice, his father started talking. “We have all gathered here today to witness one of the most joyful blessings. Today we’ll listen as two people vow their commitment to one another. Today, we’ll be part of a new journey. Olivia and Tristan, step before the pack so we may bless you and send you on a journey full of adventures, love, and happiness.”
As the Timber Pack tradition dictated, Tristan and Olivia walked toward Tanner from opposite directions. Tristan stepped out of the trees to their left while Olivia stepped out of the trees to their right. Slowly they closed the distance between each other, walking past the first row and meeting before Tanner. As soon as she was within reach, Tristan took Olivia’s hand in his, her face softening right away.
“We’ve come here today to celebrate these two souls merging their lives into one.”
His father pulled out the knife that was used in all their commitment ceremonies. As tradition for the Skadu Wolves, Olivia and Tristan held out their hands and let their alpha cut their palms. They then crossed their hands and held each other as his father pulled out a long, red silk string and wrapped it around their hands.
“You vow before Selene, our goddess, to commit to one another. One shall not leave the other until death tears them apart. Tristan, you vow to your mate to protect her and your offspring from all evil. Olivia, you vow to your mate to love and cherish him and his heirs, and to raise your wolves in Selene’s name.”
Just like Blake and Niev a few weeks ago, Tristan and Olivia now vowed to one another.
“I’m yours and you are mine”
Blake could feel that Niev was slightly uncomfortable with their vows, but they were the ones most packs still used. Niev, being the modern independent woman she was, thought that they didn’t quite fit into the era anymore. He didn’t think she was wrong, but their ceremonies, just like all others, were long-lived traditions that each pack cherished.
“May Selene bless you with many heirs, love, and happiness on the journey that lays ahead of you.”
As everyone started to clap and cheer, Tristan leaned down and kissed Olivia’s forehead. Her cheeks flared a bright pink and her eyes shyly flickered to the crowd.
After untying the silk string, they held hands and walked through the cheering crowd. Even though Olivia tried to avoid everyone’s eyes, she seemed happy. She held on to Tristan, their fingers locked together, holding the red string between them.
As the crowd slowly faded, Blake and Niev followed Tristan and Olivia. It wasn’t unusual that the couple disappeared right after the ceremony, and he was glad no one seemed to be upset about it. It had spread throughout the pack that Olivia was on the shy side, so no one thought anything of it.
Holding hands, they walked through the crowd toward their path. Halfway there, Bear stepped before them, his arms crossed before his chest, his face serious.
“Ah, just the two I was looking for.”
Slightly confused and worried, Niev looked up at him. “What happened?”
“You two are running off!” For a split second Bear seemed mad before his scowl turned playful. “Scared you there, huh?”
Niev stepped forward and punched him in the shoulder. “That was mean.”
“Hey!” he cried. “I thought pregnancy is supposed to soften a woman, not make her aggressive!”
