“You feel so good, Vel,” he hummed, hoping that his praise would ease the tension in her body. “I’m so proud of you. You listen so well.”

That did the trick.

Her jaw slacked, and her tongue swirled around his cockhead. With all her focus on lapping up every bit of his taste, her hand paused again. It was so fucking cute how clueless she was, how eager she was to please. He let his head fall back, closing his eyes as he helped her move her hand.

He hummed his pleasure. “You’re going to make me come so hard, little moon.”

He instructed her to pick up her pace, but was careful to keep his hips still despite wanting to drive into her mouth. She wasn’t ready for that.

With two more thrusts of their hands, his climax barrelled through his body. Vel grunted in surprise as the first drops hit her tongue, but then she sealed her lips around his shaft and sucked the rest right out of him.

“Fuck, don’t stop!”

His words made her suck harder, her tongue pressing against him as she swallowed his cum. Isaiah let her keep tasting him until he grew too sensitive to take it anymore. Though he didn’t want to, he pushed her back by her shoulder.

His heart raced as he cupped her face with both hands. Her eyes beamed up at him and her lips had curled up into a satisfied smile. Vel knew she’d done well—she was proud of it.

“That was amazing. Thank you, little luna.” He leaned down and kissed her forehead. “How about you lay down and I reward you for it?”

“You don’t have to do that. I’d rather just cuddle.”

“Are you sure?” he asked, unable to hide his surprise.

“I’m tired,” she admitted.

Though he felt guilty, he didn’t fight her. “I’ll go get changed, you get comfortable.”

He pressed another kiss to her forehead before kicking his jeans aside and slipping into the closet.

He never slept with a shirt, so he didn’t put one on, only pulling on a pair of pyjama pants. He wanted to soak up every bit of Vel that he could. Isaiah slid under the covers behind her, and the moment he wrapped his arm around her waist, she settled against his bare chest.

For the first time in days, he felt peace.

Chapter Forty-One

Asher

Asher stirred as he was swarmed with the sensation of Vel’s body against his. Confused, his eyes fluttered open only to realise he was feeling Isaiah hold her in the other room.

‘Sorry,’ Isaiah apologised.

‘What for?’ Yes, Ash would have loved to hold Vel in his own arms, but she was safe and sound. Besides, she’d let one of them hold her for another night. It was something rare and special and Asher for one didn’t care how it played out—just that it did.

Of course, Isaiah knew his every thought so there was no need to voice any of it.

Deciding to let them rest, Asher washed and dressed himself before starting on breakfast. They usually ate something quick and easy, but that day he wanted to give Vel a special treat. So, he set about making her the biggest stack of pancakes possible. She’d always made them croissants, but they could never figure out how she made them taste so good.

Asher worked until Isaiah appeared at the bottom of the staircase. “I’m heading to the gym.”

Though it was a little unusual, it didn’t surprise Asher. Clearly, Isaiah was using a workout to work through everything he had left to process.

“When I get back, we should talk about the new beta.”

That made Asher cringe. They’d put it off for a few days and if it were left up to him, they’d never talk about it.

“I know, but we need to do so for the sake of the pack. It’s likely they’re already pushing their needs aside because they aren’t sure who to address.”

Letting out a frustrated grunt, Asher turned back to the pancake batter. “Fine.” But before Isaiah could leave Asher had another question. “Did you and Vel…” How was he supposed to ask without sounding jealous?
